Skye had reached the Dragon Hunter island, watching as the guards sparred, and the blacksmiths improved their structure of swords. Viggo walked out of his tent to greet her halfway. "Skye! Did you get what we needed?"

"You mean getting the map from Johann? Yes." She muttered, shoving the map at Viggo and stalking away angrily.

The Dragon Hunter leader noticed her erratic behavior and walked to her, matching her strides. "What happened out there?"

"I saw Hiccup."

Viggo frowned. "Did you talk to him?"

"Yes."

"What did he say?"

"He wanted me to return to Berk."

"Did you want to accept?"

"Yes."

"... Did you accept?" Viggo asked uncertainly.

Skye paused and turned to him. "No. Don't worry about it."

Viggo nodded. They both entered Skye's tent and sat on chairs.

"Skye, remember when I said that I had visited the Shriuken?"

"What about them?" She asked, concern etched on her features.

Viggo brought out a book he was carrying and placed it in her hands. "I snagged this from their island."

She raised an eyebrow and then looked down.

It couldn't be.

Skye trembled. "Is this the Skeillka book? About Skrills?"

He nodded. "I didn't want to read it until you came. I didn't know whether I could trust you."

Well, after those few weeks of learning more about Viggo's more emotional side, Skye found it pretty hard to believe that she had to betray him do that the Hethsians could take over.

"Thank you." She replied and opened the book, its pages slightly dirty with an ashen color.

Diagrams of Skrills and Alpha Skrills were drawn, printed notes were written, making Skye excited. Viggo and Skye read the book together.

They couldn't believe it. The information was so astonishing.

For three hours, they read it. They completed the book, and Skye shut it and slid it onto the table.

They were both silent. Speechless.

"Is that actually possible?" Viggo asked quietly.

"Is that why the Shriuken wanted me alive?" Skye breathed. "I know you told me about it before, but confirming it makes it feel a whole lot different."

The book spoke of the history of Skrills. Skrills were in packs, led by the Alpha Skrills. Their habits, structures and diets were all jotted down. Even their migration schedules and habited islands, as well as relative dragons.

Until they reached a most crucial part.

A human leader.

The Skrills would respond to the Alpha Skrill, of course. The Alpha Skrill would always be there to take charge of every Skrill in the pack. But to protect the pack from other dangers, the first Alpha Skrill chose  a human, a human who could protect them from extinction.
A human kind enough to understand that dragons weren't meant to be killed. That dragons weren't just mindless beasts that fed and destroyed lands for prey. The first human to come in contact with the Alpha Skrill, had spared its life.
This human understood their magnificence. And somehow, the human came to understand that the Skrills could be united with humans. That they should be protected.
