You quietly open the door on your left and step into a small, square room. Its walls are lined with weapons racks and a large wardrobe - you've found the armory!

On the weapon racks, you find three long weapons and three short weapons. Choose one according to what you can handle. You will regain your original weapon bonus, and you can add the specific bonus that will come with the weapon you choose.

Long weapons:
* a pudao, which gives you an additional +1 against opponents with short weapons
* a halberd, which gives you an additional +2 against unarmed opponents
* a staff, which gives you the option of re-casting one dice per full combat (not per combat round).

Short weapons:
* a pair of butterfly knives, giving you one extra attack at the beginning of combat: cast the dice as if for a normal attack, but the results of 1 to 4 (opponent retaliates) do not happen. Then move on to normal combat.
* a fan, which gives you an additional +2 against unarmed opponents
* a sabre, which gives you an additional +1 against opponents armed with long weapons.

You turn to the wardrobe and open it, revealing three sets of armour.

If you are a Warrior, you slip into the chainmail, giving you an additional +2 life points.

If you are a Monk, you slip into the leather, giving you an additional +1 life point and +1 against spirits.

If you are a Shaman, you slip into the cloth, giving you an additional +2 to magic against spirits.

Now that you are dressed and equipped for success, you make your way back out of the armory.
