Once you've passed the left turn, the corridor goes straight and has no windows. The only light comes from lanterns and torches spaced evenly upon the walls in golden sconces. The tapestries are luxurious and thick, most of them embroidered with gold or silver thread, their colors bright and inviting.

At the end, the corridor turns sharply to the right, but as you prepare to turn with it you notice that in the wall to your left is a door. It looks locked and solid - but you can hear talking inside. As you look down the corridor after the right turn, you can see that it leads to a tiny square room. The place looks deserted.

To try the door, go to Chapter Forty-Nine.
