Sweet Chocolate

When I open my eyes I'm in a hospital room, I see my mom, dad, Cam, Te and Sam; I smile thinking I made it back to reality but when I look to my right I see myself lying in the hospital bed.

I take a step back in disbelief, what is going on I said looking at myself, I was pale and sick looking; I looked at my bandaged wrist I put my hand to my mouth as tears poured out of my eyes why did I do this to myself.

I looked at my dad as he hugged my mom who couldn't control her crying, I looked at Cam who tried his best to control his crying as he held my hand; I watched as Sam handed Te a tissue to wipe her tears with.

I'm sorry I yelled I learned my lesson I don't wanna die please let me live God I cried out as I laid on the bed and fell asleep.

I slowly opened my eyes to see Cam asleep on one chair and my mom and dad asleep on another. The sunlight hit my eyes as I tried to sit up making the bed squeak and causing my dad to wake up;

"Alaina" he said waking my mom and Cam up as the all ran to my side

I smiled at them and returned the hugs I received, I wanted to say something but my throat felt like I had eaten a spoonful of sand; I reached my hand out for the water bottle that was on the dresser but the moving made my wrist hurt.

"get her some water" my mom ordered "I'm going to go get the doctor" she said while leaving the room

Cam handed me the water bottle and water never tasted so good, I drunk the whole bottle in under a minute, my dad and Cam looked at me like I was crazy "what I was thirsty" I said while shrugging.

"I bet" Cam said while lightly hitting my shoulder

"are you hungry baby girl, I can go down to the cafeteria and get you something" my dad said while rubbing my head

I scrunched my face up hospital food gross, my dad noticed my reaction and smiled "how about I run to Mcdonalds then"

I nodded my head "please and thank you"

"no problem you want anything Cam"

"yes a sausage biscuit will be cool thanks"

My dad nodded his head, kissed me on my forehead then left out the room, leaving me with Cam.

"you wanna talk about it" he asked

I shook my head

He nodded his head "alright ma but you know I'm here for you" that statement made me smile "but yo ass got a shit load of homework to do"

I rolled my eyes and leaned back in the bed.

"Alaina I need to tell you something"

"yes" I said sitting up a bit

"I don't know how to tell you this and I don't know how you gone take it but imma just say it okay"

I just nodded my head not sure on where this was going

"well um Alaina you my nest friend so I feel I have to tell you this. Alaina Ginger Rose Jones yo hair my nigga look like you got electrocuted" he said busting out laughing. I couldn't help but to laugh to, he is such a clown

Knock knock knock

"come in" I said still giggling a bit at Cam who was making faces at me.

I looked at Sam and Te as they walked in the room, one part of me was happy to see them in the same room and not trying to kill each other while the other was still a little mad at them.

"hey Lainy I'm happy to see that your okay " Te said walking to my bed side

"yeah and we both want to apologize for the way we've been acting you have every right to still be mad at us" Sam said coming beside me as well

I gave them a small smile "I guess we can just let bygones be bygones" I said as I hugged them

"ALAINAAA" I looked up to see Kayla come running in like a maniac "girl I got here as fast as I could, are you okay, what happened" she said sitting beside me on the bed.

I gave her a weak smile hoping she would just drop the subject because I didn't feel like talking about it; she must have understood because she stopped asking questions and just hugged me.

"ah I see you're awake" I nodded and smiled at the doctor "well this is wonderful a nurse will come in to check your vital signs, you look a lot better so you should be able to leave in an hour or so, any questions" I shook my head no and he walked out.

My mom came beside me with tears in her eyes "I thought I lost you, don't you ever scare me like that again" I nodded my head, my throat was starting to hurt when I talked "where is your dad" as soon as she said that my dad walked in carrying a Mcdonalds bag and a cup "oh shit if I knew all y'all was coming I would've brought more food" he said while passing sausage biscuits to my mom and Cam then handing me the bag.

"its fine Mr. Jones we already ate" Te said

The room was quiet besides the sound of the t.v. and us eating.

Knock knock knock knock

Before anyone could say come in, the door opened and the first thing I saw was balloons "sorry to just barge in but this stuff is a little heavy" Jevoni said as he placed the flowers, balloons, card and teddy bear down. Everyone looked at him confused as to why he was here.

"who are you" my dad said standing up

"Jevoni Curtis just a friend of Alaina's" he said while putting his hand out for my dad to shake.

"Jacob Jones Alaina's father"

"nice to meet you sir"

My mom shook her head at my dad "come on Jacob lets go to the cafeteria" she said pulling his arm before he could protest.

"what are you doing here" I asked when my parents left the room

"well I heard you were in the hospital so I just wanted to drop by"

"thanks but wait how did you find out"

"its all around the school actually but originally from Sam's post on Instagram"

I looked over at Sam "why did you put MY business on Instagram" I said furious the last thing I wanted or needed was the whole school to know my business.

"I just was asking people to pray for you"

I sighed I guess that's fine "you didn't tell them why I was in here right" she didn't say anything I rolled my eyes "what else did you say"

Sam started playing with her fingers and looked at the floor

I looked at Jevoni "what did she say"

He looked as if he didn't want to say it "what did she say Jevoni" I said a little louder

He sighed "she said you tried to commit suicide and that you really need prayer"

I closed my eyes, I can already hear the torment and name calling, Chynnas going to have a ball making fun of the suicidal chick.

"get out" I said as tears came out my eyes

"but alaina-- " she started

"Get out everyone get out now" I yelled

Cam and Kayla looked as if they were going to stay "please get out I just wanna be alone" I said

Kayla gave me a kiss on the cheek and Cam rubbed my hand "well be right out here if you need us" he said I nodded my head and waited for them to leave before bursting into tears.
