When the class ended I felt a lot better about myself. I learned about self confidence and about how a person should love themselves fully, inside and out.

Ms Perkins helped me out, she told me how when she was young she was bullied because of her weight and her story really inspired me to love myself even if people try to bring you down.

I was just about to text my mom so she could come pick me up when Heather walked up to me

"I just wanted you to know that you are very beautiful, only an idiot would disagree" she said then reached over and gave me a hug

"thank you, you're very pretty too" she smiled at me "thanks see ya"

I waved bye to her

"hey"

I looked up at Jevoni "hey"

"wanna go get some ice cream"

I looked at him a little unsure if I should go or not; I mean I barely know him

"don't worry im not a psycho, the ice cream shop is a couple buildings down we can walk"

I nodded my head then texted my mom so she would know where I was

"so the therapy session was a real eye opener, I might come back sometime" I said trying to start a convo; I hate silence

"yeah that's cool" he said looking at the cars passing

We walked the rest of the way in silence, really awkward silence. When we finally reached the ice cream parlor I was so happy

"what would you like"

"cookies and cream please"

"two cookies and cream cones"

We took a seat close to the back and ate our ice cream again in silence "are you okay, Jevoni hello" I said snapping my fingers in his face it was like he was in another world

"yeah" he said snapping back to reality

"are you okay" I asked, I didn't know him well but I could tell he was in deep thought

"yeah um Alaina Cam I tell you something"

I put my spoon down giving him my undivided attention "yeah what's up"

He got quiet for a while "well you know Chynna"

I rolled my eyes "yeah sadly"

"well um we... Me and her like.. She well.. I didn't... Um" he stammered

I looked at him confused as to what he was trying to say "are y'all dating"

"no well no I mean... You see"

I sighed "if y'all are dating just say it"

"we're not"

"then what is it" I said getting a little annoyed

"I don't want you to hate me because you seem like a really great person and.."

I furrowed my eyebrows "what are you talking about"

He took a deep breath "please don't hate me" he pleaded, he looked like he was going to burst in tears

"I don't hate you Jevoni what's wrong with you"

"you'll hate me after I tell you" he mumbled to himself

"what"

"nothing" he said, he looked around the shop like he was looking for someone "uh Alaina you know how your business was leaked to the school"

"yeah what does that have to do with anything" I thought for a second, then started trying to connect the dots "was Chynna the one to tell the school" I semi yelled making people look our way

"no shush please that's not what im trying to say Alaina"

"then what are you trying to say"

"I screen shot the picture Sam put up and showed Chynna, I'm so sorry"

I looked at him and there it was again that horrible pain in my heart, I shook my head he wouldn't do something like that; he showed up to the hospital with balloons "did Chynna make you sat that" I didn't want to believe it

He put his head down "no"

I got up ready to leave, but he grabbed my arm "please don't touch me, why would you do something like that Jevoni, and the fact that you came to the hospital smiling and shit knowing you did something so cruel you are a psycho" I yanked my arm away and walked out of the shop trying to text my mom

"Alaina please hear me out"

I turned around and glared at him "what Jevoni what the fuck do you have to say" before he could speak I kept talking "I thought you were sweet, you was the first guy to actually take a liking to me the fact that you could lie to my face baffles me. All my life I allowed people to walk all over me, like I'm some kind of human door mat; but not anymore I'm done being a punching bag for everyone" I looked at the sky to keep myself from crying, the last thing I wanted him to see was me crying

"Alaina it wasn't like that, I swear"

"then why did you tell the school my personal business"

He got quiet

"exactly you're just one of Chynnas little minions, who does what ever she says"

"I'm not a minion I have my own mind, I'm not like the twins"

"no you're not like the twins you're worse"

Before he could reply back my mom pulled up

"bye Jevoni" I ran to my moms car and got in, leaving him standing there looking stupid

"whose that" my mom asked pulling out from the ice cream shop

I leaned back and closed my eyes "nobody"
