Te❤️: it was just one of those days for him, he didn't feel like talking but he said he'll talk to you tonight at the pool party

Cam has been ignoring me all day. At lunch he didn't even sit with me and Roxy, I tried texting him in second but he kept the conversation short; so I asked Te to talk to him for me to see what was wrong with him. I guess everyone has those days where they don't feel like socializing so I can't fault him for that because I do it sometimes

The bell went off, finally I thought as I packed up all my things and walked out the classroom

"Soo" Roxy asked as she walked up beside me

"Te said he was just having one of those days you know, but she said he'll talk to me about it tonight at the pool party"

"See you was worried about nothing, do you feel better now"

"Yeah I don't know why I automatically think the worst in situations"

"But do you want to come shopping with me, I need a bathing suit" Roxy said as we got close to the student parking lot

"Yeah lemme just text cam and tell him I'm getting a ride with you"

We got in the car and started driving towards the mall "Sam has been giving me nasty stares all day long when ever I passed her in the hall, like get over yourself girl you're not important"

"Exactly I'm not even thinking about her, I'm just focusing on these finals"

"Me too we got two more weeks then finals I'm so nervous"

"Why you're smart you'll do fine" I said smiling at her "but me on the other hand I'm smart but when I'm in math it's like she's speaking a different language" I said shaking my head

"I know right but we have to study together before finals"

"Definitely without non stop studying I would not be in the eleventh grade"

"If they didn't curve exams I wouldn't be in the eleventh grade"

I laughed and nodded my head

Zzzzz Zzzzz

Unknown: can we talk?

I scrunched my face up

"What" Roxy said looking at me as we pulled up to the mall "who is it"

"I don't know some unknown number asking can we talk"

"It's probably Sam" Roxy said as we got out the car

"No I blocked her number after what happened at the mall"

"She probably has an app or she's using some one else's phone, I mean who else could it be"

Me: who is this???

"If it's her she might as well stop texting because I have nothing else to say to her"

"She's disgusting and such a flip flopped she doesn't know if she wants to hate or love you"

"Yeah that's cause she's being controlled by Chynna and her brain is confused"

"Right their like little puppies" she said laughing "ooh lets go in here"

As we walked into Red Bubbly, a store that sold almost everything dealing with summer from bathing suits to pools, I got another text from the mystery person

Unknown: meet me at the park in 20 minutes

I showed the message to Roxy "this is so weird"

"Yeah but are you going to go"

"No it could be a psycho for all I know" I said looking at a rack of bikinis

"Come on it'll be fun I'll go with you"

"How would it be fun" I asked while picking up a pink two strappy bikini

"That would look super cute on you but it would be fun because we would be like Sherlock Holmes uncovering a mystery oh no we would be like the scooby doo gang"

I laughed at her shaking my head "okay fine but let's pick out a bathing suit first then maybe stop by the food court for pizza or something"

"It's a plan" Roxy said bouncing up and down on her heels

"Alright happy I've found my bathing suit now lets find yours"

"Oo how about you get the pink one and I get the red one" Roxy said picking up a bikini that was like mine but a different color

"Okay I'm cool with that"

After paying for our bikinis we went to the food court and got a pizza to go since we only had about ten minutes and even though I didn't know who we were going to see I still didn't want to be late. As we drove ti the park I started to get nervous

"It's going to be okay Alaina it's broad daylight and plus I'll be with you with 911 on speed dial" Roxy said smiling at me trying to cheer me up; but when we made it the park my anxiety kicked into hyper drive and I had to shove pizza down my throat to keep from having a panic attack

"Alaina look at me you're okay hey you don't have to do this we can go to my house right now and just watch some cartoons" Roxy said fanning me with her napkin

I took a deep breath and drunk some water "no it's fine and plus I know you're as curious as I am to find out who it is"

"Yeah I am curious but being curious comes last being a good friend comes first so are you sure you want to go through with this"

I smiled "yeah I'm sure it's not that big of a deal; should I text them and tell em we're here"

"Yeah"

I looked around it was a couple of kids playing on the playground, some people were jogging on the trail; it was a beautiful day to be at the park.

Unknown: I'm on the trail come alone

I scrunched my face up

"What" Roxy asked looking at me

"They said come alone"

"What no I'm not letting you go by yourself" Roxy said

I thought about for awhile before saying "it's okay Roxy"

"No Alaina we don't know who this person is it could be a psycho like you said"

"Or it could just be Sam like you said; plus their on the trail me and Cam used to walk on the trail a lot when we were younger and it's not just trees there's houses and stuff on the other plus it's broad daylight remember" I said smiling at her

"Touché" she said glaring at me playfully "but take your phone with you and if anything happens out of the ordinary call me and I will be on my way"

"Okay Rocky balboa"

"Better believe it" she said kissing her fists "but be safe if you're not back in five minutes I'm coming back there guns a blazing"

"Alright" I said laughing

I got out and started walking towards the trail, palms sweaty and hope in my heart that whoever it was who texted me isn't a psycho.
