Te Te POV

My best friend is in a coma, I still cant wrap my head around this. I was just packing my bags so I could go back on campus, but then Cam called me crying. I cried and prayed the whole way here. I cant help but think maybe this is my fault I wasn't there for her, I'm supposed to be someone she can come talk to; I feel horrible.

Zzzzzz Zzzzzz Zzzzzzzz

I take my phone out of my pocket and see that Kay is calling, I stand up and start walking towards the exit not wanting to disturb anyone.

"hello"

"Te is she okay, have you seen her yet, I had to stop and get gas ill be there in a couple of hours" Kay said all in one breath

"no we'll see her after a couple more tests, but she's in a coma, but she's okay i guess"

"oh my gosh noo, for how long"

"not long hopefully but you just focus on getting here safely ill call you if there's any more news"

"okay love you and stay strong"

"love you too be safe"

After hanging up the phone, I closed my eyes and leaned against the hospital building and tried to get myself together before walking back in there.

"hey, can we talk"

I opened my eyes and saw Sam standing there. "wassup" I said taking a seat on the bench, she did the same.

"I feel like we should bury the hatchet for Alaina's sake"

I looked up at the sky, I don't like this bug eyed little girl, but I will do anything for my best friend even if it involves this rat.

I took a deep breath "i agree no more drama, but this does not mean we finna be buddy buddy so don't get it twisted you can still get snatched"

She rolled her eyes "yeah definitely no buddy buddy" she held her hand out for me to shake, I looked at it for a bit before shaking it.

I looked at my phone

PeeWee🏃: they letting us go see Lainy wya?

"they letting us see Alaina come on" I stood up and rushed inside of the hospital, with Sam right behind me.

Walking into the room she looked like a while different person even with her eyes closed, she looked tired and pale; seeing her like this brought tears to my eyes, my best friend was hurting so bad the only way she felt she could escape the pain was by killing herself.

Tanisha couldn't even stop crying she was beside Alaina just bawling her eyes out, Auntie just rubbed her back telling her to be strong for her daughter. Alaina's dad walked in then walked out he couldn't even handle it.

My baby girl, my poor baby girl laying there looking lifeless, I didn't.. I couldn't see her like that. It broke my heart, just thinking about when she was a baby so happy and full of life. I took seat on the ground. I heard the door close and looked up to see Cam "you good man"

I looked at him and told him to take a seat "I been in prison for half-- most of her life and seeing her like that just crushed me"

He took a seat beside me and nodded his head "i feel you, I didn't like it either but Lainy a strong girl she just don't know it yet".

"I wanna thank you for watching over my daughter all these years and protecting her" i said "tell me about her"

"You welcome but Alaina ain't gone she still here"
