A couple minutes later my old parole officer Roger and his brother Austin walked in, I stood up and greeted them "wassup bruh been awhile" I said while pulling Austin into a hug
"its good to see you outside of a jail cell"
"same here, take a seat y'all want anything"
"we good bruh" Roger said as they took seats in the chairs across from my desk
"whats been going with you" Austin asked me leaning back in the chair and looking at me "Rog told me you was having baby mama drama"
"mane I was at first, Tanisha was straight tripping trying to get me locked back up and shit not letting me see my daughter, but a couple days ago Alaina was in the hospital"
"awl shit forreal what happened" Roger said leaning forward in his seat kind of
"mane she tried to slit her wrist, ion know why that's why I'm picking her up from school so we can talk"
"damn that's crazy cause I remember a few years back my step daughter tried to bleach herself because some kids was bullying her; this generation ruthless as fuck bruh" Austin said while shaking his head
"I know that shit piss me off though ain't nobody finna be messing with my family ion play that shit"
"why you ain't tell me when Alaina was in the hospital I would've came"
"my bad Rog but the shit happened out the blue I thought I had lost my little girl"
"are they gone make her take therapy classes" Austin asked
"yeah she got one tomorrow, ion really like people being in family business but if it will help baby girl then I'm all for it"
"i feel you mane cant trust all them therapy things though because some of them just scam artist"
"but on a better note, Austin hows the family mane"
"they good Jade still in the marines but she trying to become reserved so she can be there for the girls and so I can find a job, that's why we moved here"
"well if you ever need a job just talk to me, I'm opening up a barbershop done here"
"damn don't you already got strip clubs and clubs"
I chuckled "yeah but I just want to make sure my daughter set for life"
"I feel you on that one, but the elementary school about to let out and I gotta pick up Rosie" Austin said while standing up
"ight man be safe and I'm forreal about that barbershop job just hit me up" I said while daping him up
"ite bro thanks imma call you about it I gotta talk to Jade, you know how she can be" Me and Roger started laughing "Roger I don't know why you laughing you know Tanya got you wrapped around her pinky finger" Austin said while wiggling his finger, making me laugh harder while Roger just mugged both of us
"shut up she ain't got me wrapped around nothing I'm my own man" he said popping his collar

We all looked at our phones
"that wasn't mine" I said while placing my cell phone back on my desk
"wasn't mine either" Austin said
Me and Austin looked at Roger who was reading a message on his phone "aye y'all I gotta roll out, Tanya need me"
"what happened to being your own man" I said while trying to hold back my laughter, this nigga sprung
"man shut up witchu single ass"
"don't get mad at me cause y'all on leashes and I'm a free bird" I said while flapping my arms like a bird
"what ever but imma hit y'all up later I'm out" Roger said while throwing up the deuces
"alright stay up mane" Austin said while walking still laughing a bit
As I took a seat my phone starting ringing, Cam Alaina friend was calling we had exchanged numbers at the hospital
"wassup lil bruh"
"nothing good bruh, this one bitch at my school fucked with Alaina I was in the bathroom so I didn't know what happened but there's videos and shit floating around"
I scrunched my face up "wait what someone fucked with Alaina where is she"
"I don't know I tried to look for her but people was saying she left the school, and I didn't know if you picked her up or something"
"hold on for a second"
I stood up and started looking for my car keys it was hard to find them under all my paperwork, but when I did find them I started heading out my office and towards my car "Tia ill be back in a bit" I told her before she could even respond, I kept walking, when I got into my car I hooked my phone to the bluetooth in my car "ight Cam tell me what did they do to Alaina" I asked as I pulled out out of my driveway
"they poured some powder stuff on her I think it was flour then they poured milk on her saying they doing it to make her lighter"
I gripped the steering wheel tight making my knuckles turn white "to add acid to the injury Sam who supposed to be her friend is the one who told everybody her business"
"who the fuck is Sam"
"you remember that one chick with the braces who came to the hospital"
I thought back for a sec "yeah I remember her now, she was crying and shit but turned on Alaina quick" I shook my head these kids two faced as hell these days
"exactly what I told Alaina that lil bitch fake"
"I'm on my way to the school, where you at"
"I'm in the office"
"ite call Tanisha for me I need to focus on this road niggas driving crazy"
"ight i got you be safe man"
"ight" I said while hanging the phone up who would be dumb enough to mess with my daughter, they must not know who I am I thought to myself as I drove well they gone find out today
