"Mom, dad, I'll just go with Shaina tonight. We're gonna sleep over Katelyn's house." I said to my parents.

We're currently having our dinner. I ate a little that's why I got ahead of them.

My mom looked at me while dad just continued eating his food.

"Are you telling the truth?" My mom eyed me suspiciously.

I want to rolled my eyes at my mom for being so strict to me but then I love my mom so much, as well as my dad that's why I stopped myself from doing that.

"Yup." I smiled at my mom and nodded.

"Thiearra, look. Okay lang naman sa'min kung kasama mo talaga 'yong mga kaibigan mo pero minsan kasi ginagamit mo lang sila para makapag-party ka." My mom told me. She drank the water and wiped her lips when she finished her food.

I looked down. Paawa effect. Total ay mukha naman akong inosente.

Sa totoo lang ay balak talaga naming mag-party tonight. I, together with my friends--other friends and not Shaina the nerd.

"Okay then. I won't go na lang. I'll just stay here and I'll just kill my self out of boredom. Becau---"

"Okay, enough of your drama, Thiearra." My mom cut me and surrendered.

Yes! I'm gonna party tonight!

"Does that mean, you'll let me have a night over with Shaina?" I asked while my eyes are twinkling with excitement.

It's been what? Three months? Since the last time I went to a bar.

God! I'm so bored with my life here. Pretending like a good girl when in fact I'm not.

"Yes but make sure that you are really going to Shaina's house. Ipapahatid kita sa driver natin sa bahay nila Shaina para makasiguro and I'll call Shaina too para mag-report sa'kin if ever hindi ka sa kanila pupunta o kung tatakas ka." Mahabang litanya ni mama.

Gosh! My mom is such a paranoid. Although, I know that they have all the reasons para maghigpit sa'kin ng ganito but still...wala na ba akong karapatan? Wala na ba akong kalayaang mag-enjoy.

"What now, Thiearra?" Mom asked me nung matagalan ang isip ko sa pagra-rant.

"Okay, fine, mom. I'll let our driver drive me to Shaina's house. And Shaina will report to you if I ever  escaped." Tamad na tamad kong sabi.

Nakakainis. But nah, I'll find a way. Makakapunta ako sa party tonight.

"Okay then. Packed your things." Mom said. And I look confused at her.

"What things mom? May gamit ako kela Shaina and it's just a night. Di ko na kailangan 'yon. Besides, I've already packed the things I needed." Sabay pakita kay mom nung hand bag ko. Sa loob nyan ay pamalit kong damit at iba pang bagay na pang-party.

She eyed me but then I smiled at her. She sighed and let me do things on my own.

Since settled na lahat ay nagpaalam na ako sa parents ko.

"Bye dad." I kissed my dad na tahimik lang na ngumiti sa'kin. He hugged me, kissed my hair and said that I should take care.

"I will, dad." After that, I went to my mom and kissed her too.

"Bye mom." Mom just nodded at me then kissed me at the cheeks too.

I waved them goodbye then pumasok na ako sa sasakyan.
