I decided to go straight to Halloween you will find out what is going on with Lucas later! It's okay I promise you will. But you should know that I plan on making this whole story Claire's POV just putting it out there.

Chapter 7
"Um, Claire."
The whole room went silent. Apparently I wasn't the only one who didn't see that one coming.
I was currently in gym, and I was extremely confused! No I don't mean by the sport, I understand how to play basketball I was just extremely uncoordinated. No I was the team captions first pick. You see our gym classes are first decided by grade and then gender.
However since our Gym is one giant gym devised into three sections; labeled gyms a, b and c; they all had floor to ceiling dividers but they were a pain to move, so you usually saw the other classes going on as well. While my class; the grade 10 girls, were there 4th and final period, so we're the grade 9 girls and the grade 11 boys which just happened to feature Lucas Summers who managed to still look like a bad boy in gym clothes instead of a leather jacket.
Kylie was in this class with me. She liked to tease me every time she caught me looking Lucas' way. For example earlier this period during warm up, every day a new student leads and how well we do can contribute to our marks. Today was Kylie's turn.
"One, two three," Kylie counted our jumping jacks. The boys were doing their stretches right next to us, and they had to run laps. My eyes traced their way around the room as they managed to follow Lucas Summers who had managed to have not even broken a sweat yet. If it were me I would already be panting and I would not be on my 5th lap yet alone the 9 he has already completed.
"How many are we doing again?" Tina the girl at the front of the group asked Kylie as we had currently had completed 30. I was already out of breath and half of the girl's jumping jacks barely even reached the status of being half hearted. We had been stretching for 30 minutes. Could you blame us?
"45," Kylie said and I could see that she was going to push us hard to try and get a good grade. "Thirty-five, thirty-six, that's it ladies keep up the good work," Kylie said as my eyes went back to watch Lucas as he finished his tenth lap.
"Hey, Claire eyes off Summers, please all eyes on me," Kylie said. I knew she was teasing me, but at the same time it's not as if she were lying. The only embarrasing thing was that she was loud enough the Lucas must have heard as his eyes snapped to look into mine.
I am pretty sure I was blushing not just from the exercise when I saw Lucas look over to me and smirk. I guess I zoned out though because two seconds later I heard Kylie's voice again. "I like your dedication Claire but we are done jumping jacks now..."
Come on could you blame? He looked good! And in gym even though sweaty guys were never nearly as attractive as they we on TV, probably because you couldn't smell through the television! Lucas Summers still managed to be extremely attractive.
The grade 12 boy's physical education teacher was buddies with our teacher which meant sometimes they would join our classes so they could fool around together. Today was one of those days; we were on our basketball unit, which just happened to overlap with the grade 12 boys' basketball unit which meant it was prime time to conjoin classes.
"Alright kiddies, listen up," the boy's teacher said sternly after blowing his whistle. "Our team captions will be Costus and Summers," he said pointing them out. I turned to talk to Kylie expecting to be the last picked.
