Chapter 8
Wait what? Why wasn't he walking away? No in fact he had just turned on his heal after taking a few strides away. I was shocked as I saw him run his hands through his hair, he looked like he was arguing with himself about something.
Wait one second. He was walking towards me. What is going on? I would be lying if I said I wasn't lost.
"Why would I go anywhere? I want you around because I care about you," He said in the most sincere voice I had ever heard him use. His hands slipped up to the sides of my face and played with the line of my hair. It felt amazing, I had to keep reminding myself that this was real. This was real right? Because if two seconds from now I woke up to the morning of Halloween I would NOT BE A HAPPY GIRL!
He stepped closer so my right foot was almost between his two feet and my left one beside his right. His chest was pressed up to mine but it arched away from me as he leaned down to kiss me. Oh my God, he was going to kiss me!
"What are you doing?" It shot out of my mouth before I could think about it, I regretted it the second I said it. He blushed! The bad boy actually blushed as he backed away. Then he stormed off leaving me and my gym bag behind. What had I done? At the same time I couldn't help but think, 'maybe it was for the best.'
'It sure didn't feel that way.'
My phone buzzed. It was Tara.
I can't believe you got kick off the bus! What were you arguing about?

I walked home and found Charlie comfortably stretched out on the couch. He looked up at me and smiled. "What kept you?" He asked me sitting up. He knew perfectly well 'what was up' he was on the bus!
"I walked home," I said marching up the stairs to my room.
"Why?" He laughed at me I could hear him at the bottom of the stairs I decided to ignore him. I shut myself in my room.
"No!... What do you mean?... Stop just stop!... Fine!" I heard Dylan across the hall. It turns out I wasn't the only one having a bad day. I should go and make sure he is okay.
"Are you okay?" I asked Dylan as I knocked on his door.
"Leave me alone," he said. His voice made a peice of my heart break. I had never heard that much emotion in his voice before. Dylan was suposed to be my strong big brother and in an odd way I admired his ability to remain optimistic.
"I'm not having a great day either if it makes you feel any better," I said sitting down against his door. He was my brother and I knew him well enough to know that he wouldn't open the door. My eyes grew as I was proved wrong and his door opened and I fell, literaly into his room. I silently walked over to his bed and sat on it as I looked around his mess but completely unpacked room.
"Talk," he said looking at me as he sat down next to me.
"Lucas almost kissed me today," I said.
"I thouht you would have wanted that," he teased. I laughed and he did but it was more awkward then funny.
"I said something stupid and he stormed off and is mad at me," I said. When I looked over the day to be honest if not for the slip up on the bus where things started a downward spiral my day had actually been quite great.
"Your such an idiot," he said shaking his head at me.
"I am not," I said crossing my arms. What did he know?
