LUKE
"Luke, where are we?" Cameron ask as I park the car where Scott and Brady were waiting. I had texted them to meet us here before sneaking off campus. We had dropped off Dean's car at his house and he and Cassie piled into my car. They all have been trying to get me to tell them where we are going but I kept my mouth shut, after a while they stopped asking and we just listened to Green Day on the radio.
"You'll see." I say with a mischievous smile while getting out of the car and the rest hesitantly follow. We head where my two idiot friends are waiting by the entrance of this place. It's pretty empty but mainly because it's early afternoon on a school day.
"Creepy! Momma is gonna be pissed when she finds out you are skipping school." Brady yells as we make it to them. He spots Cassie and Dean with us and lowers his sunglasses down his nose to get a better look at Cassie. "And hello to you too, My Lady!"
"Brady!" Scott says hitting the back if his head. "Seriously Creepy, Momma asked us where we were going and you are so lucky we didn't tell her who was coming with us."
"Creepy?" I hear Cassie say, I look towards her and she's looking at me with a smirk and questioning look. I feel my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
"It's a nickname his brother gave him when he was a baby." Brady answers. And my chest tightens at the mention of Kyle, but I quickly recover cause this day is about Cameron. He told me he's always wanted to learn how to ice skate. So I told Scott and Brady to meet us here cause we are taking them ice skating. Brady looks towards Cameron and his eyes widens a bit when he sees his eyes.
"Scotty." He calls out to his twin. Scott was talking to Dean but when he hears his name being called, he walks up beside his brother.
"What?"
"Look." Brady says nodding to Cameron. Scott looks towards him and freezes. Cameron is looking at both of them confused and then looks towards me as if to ask me if this is normal. All I do is shrug but I know they see the same hazel eyes with yellow specks that are now golden because of the sun.
"You must be Cameron." Scott holds his hand out to shake Cameron's hand. When he takes it, Scott pulls him into a hug. "We've heard a lot about you."
"Good things, I hope." Cameron says and nervously smiles.
"Of course!" Scott answers with his award winning smile. Brady is still in awestruck.
"Cam, this is Scott and Brady, my friends from back home. Scott, Brady, this is Cameron, and you remember Dean and Cassie." I officially introduce them. All they did was nod, after a moment Cameron breaks the silence.
"Okay Luke, where are we?" I break into a smile.
"Come on." I say opening the door and entering the big building. They all follow behind and when we get to the ice, Cameron, Dean and Cassie are left stunned that we are at an ice rink. I turned to Cameron who looks a bit nervous. "You said you wanted to learn, so I'm gonna teach you!"
"No wait, Luke. I don't know about this. What if I fall?" Before I can assure him that he will be fine and that I will be by his side helping him, Dean interrupts.
"Don't worry, we'll all be here by your side. We won't let you fall." He says with a fond smile. I look towards Cameron and he's looking at him like a lifeline. He soon nods nervously.
"Come on, let's go!" I drag him to go get skates. Once we get our skates we are all on the ice except Cam. He's standing at the side door, Dean and Cassie look like they are doing just fine. Cassie looks like she can be an olympic skater, gliding gracefully across the ice, looking like an artist. She looks at peace.
