CASSIE

Cutter is here. Cutter is here? Cutter is here. That has been going through my head since I left the school. I told Luke that I had to leave and that I would see him tomorrow. We both missed our practices and I know our coaches will have our asses so we decided to have our tutoring session in front of the Library.

I've been sitting in my car for almost half an hour now, debating if I'm ready for what's to come when I go through those doors. Cutter is the only person that can bring one of two things. Good or Bad. Nothing in between. He's the only one besides Dean who doesn't like who I became those years ago. He's the one who reasoned with my father that I was too young.

"I can do this. Stay in control." I try to give myself a pep talk before opening the door of my mustang. But not before closing it again. I mean I haven't seen or heard from Cutter in two years. Finally getting the courage to walk through that door, I open my car door and step out and actually make my way to the front door of my house. Unlocking the door to open it, I finally step inside and close the door behind me but I don't move.

"Cassie, where have you been?" Christian appears into the foyer from, my guess is the back patio. That's where Cutter likes to hang out. He's always liked the backyard. "Cutter has been waiting for you for almost two hours."

"Cutter hasn't been in my life for two years, he can wait two hours." I say as I take my jersey jacket off and throw it over the banister.

"Now is that any way to greet your Godfather?" I froze hearing the same baritone voice of the man who I thought was my knight in shining armor growing up. I looked up to Christian who tensed a bit. Cutter was his Godfather too, he looked up to him when he was younger. Finally turning around I came face to face with the same ice cold eyes of my Godfather.

"Hello Princess. I'm sorry for being two years late for your first Soccer game as Captain." He says with that same warm smile he has that makes all the ladies squirm. I honestly believed that Cutter was a Vampire/Werewolf Hybrid. He looks just the same as he did two years ago but in a way more muscular. He has the same long dark, thick, curly locks that goes just above his chiseled jaw line. Icy blue eyes that can look deadly if you cross him. He has the looks of Jon Snow from Game of Thrones and a young Rob Lowe, combined. The very definition of a toned body.

Cutter was my mom's best friend growing up, making him my mom's Dean. He became close to my father as well, making him his right hand man, and our Godfather. He was always around when we were growing up, but when she died he started coming around less and less. He would always tell stories of when they were growing up. Stories about the adventures they went on in my Grandparents backyard. And now looking at him, all that anger of him promising that he would attend my games and not showing up, or him promising that he would always be there when I needed him and breaking it, diminished. All I wanted to do was hug him like I did when I was a little girl, when I wanted him to tuck me in for bedtime and not my own parents. And that's what I did.

"Uncle Cutter." I breathed out just as I jumped into his embrace.

"I've missed you so much, Princess!" He says as he spins me around.

"I've missed you too." I say as he puts me down. He puts both his hands on my face and just looks at me. He was looking at me like he used to look at my mother.

"You look just like her when she was your age. A spitting image." My throat started to close up knowing that he was talking about my mom. Hearing that from him was the best thing that has happened today. All I could do was smile.

"Dinner is ready." Henrietta says coming up from the dining room. She notices me once she comes into the foyer. "Hello Miss Cassiopeia!" God, I hate when people use my full name. I had to refrain from rolling my eyes but I still said my hello.
