CASSIE
"Come on, Baby Girl." He says as he extends his hand out towards me. I have to look up cause he's taller than I am. "Lets go play upstairs."
I hesitate, but I take his hand anyways. His hand wraps around mine fully, since mine are smaller.
"What are we going to play?" I ask with a shaky voice. He looked down at me with those same grey eyes and the same smile that always sent shivers down my spine.
"A game only you can play. Christian wouldn't know how to play this game." At the mention of Christian not being able to play this game, I got excited. He took me to my room and sat me on my bed. "Just relax Baby Girl,-"
I sat upright, a little too quickly, drenched in a thick coat of sweat. I was breathing heavily, it's a wonder why I wasn't screaming my lungs out. Usually with this nightmare, I would be screaming. Teddy or Christian usually would have to try and wake me. I look towards where Dean was sleeping on the mattress in the corner of my room. He's still sleeping peacefully. I wish I can sleep like that.
We go to the Waterfalls with Bryan this morning. He has been waiting for a few weeks now. Everyday he would ask me if we were really going. When he saw us bring in some supplies he got excited that we were actually going.
Looking towards the clock on my nightstand I see 5:00am in bold. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, I decide to get up and go for a run. I got out of bed quietly and made it to my bathroom without waking Dean up. Once I was ready enough for a run I grabbed my phone off the charging dock and earphones before heading downstairs.
I had been running for a few hours when I decided that it was time to go back home. I stepped inside to find a dozen pink tulips sitting on the small table in the front foyer of my house. Going up to get a better look at the card attached, I find that they are for me.
Cassie,
Your Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw,
Mine is Gryffindors.
But that doesn't matter,
with a 'Heart Like Yours'
I'm bad at the poetry thing, sorry. Hope you have a wonderful time camping with Dean and Bryan. Have fun!
-Creepy
My heart swelled at that. I would be lying if I said I didn't have butterflies fluttering around like a hurricane in my stomach. But for some reason, I felt like I've been stabbed in the heart fifty times cause I don't deserve this.
It's now Thursday, and almost every day since Saturday, me and Luke have been in that awkward after date, puppy love phase. He would walk me to classes and we would eat lunch together. We weren't official yet and we never held hands in the hallways or anything, but he would sneak small kisses on the cheek now and then. We still met up in the library where we always met up for tutoring. But instead of tutoring, we would do homework or just talk.
"Cassie fakes a left and goes right. She shoots and Score! Cassie with a win in the first quarter." Christian says smugly walking up beside me taking the card from my hands. "Damn Princess, only had one date and already have him in the palm of your hands."
"Shut it Christian!" I say taking the card from him and picking up the flowers to move them to the kitchen.
"Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about this Cass. I heard Daddy talking to Cutter about talking to the elders to set up your training." I froze at that statement. Training? I haven't even made a claim yet and they are talking about training?
