CASSIE
I've never seen Luke so livid before. He was like a mountain lion that was caged too long and was finally let out. When we got to Cameron's house, it was almost like a murder scene minus the gory blood details. Furniture was thrown everywhere.
I followed Luke inside the house and to the back to I'm guessing is Cameron's room. When we entered I wasn't ready to see what came behind the door. Cameron going limp while a grown man that I'm assuming is his father towing over him sending punches and kicks.
I had called 911 on the ride here. Luke had asked and I'm not sure he even realized that he asked me to do that. From the time of the call there was something in his eyes. Something I've seen too many to count. The look I've seen in my eyes when I looked into the mirror when I became Little Wolf. Rage.
Now I'm stuck. Frozen in place at the door frame, watching Luke become a whole different person. He was as if he was possessed. Punch after punch he threw at the guy and it was like he wasn't letting up. When I finally found the courage to move, I went straight to Cameron making sure everything was okay. His face was pretty bad, he was covered with bruises and blood. He didn't even look like himself. Something that scared me the most was that there was barely a pulse.
"Come on Cameron! Just hold on, please!" I say. Trying to find a pulse and my phone. Where are those goddamn police? I look towards where Luke is and see that he's still throwing punches. Then Dean comes running in the room and goes straight to Luke, trying to pry him off of the man. From the looks of it, it's no use. Luke is stronger than he realizes, every time Dean thinks he's done, Luke just goes straight to him and throw in some more blows.
"Luke Stop!" Dean yells finally putting him in a hold. How much do you wanna bet that he hasn't seen Cameron on the floor in front of me yet? Dean looks towards me and finally sees Cameron and freezes. "Cameron?"
Luke is still livid, trying to break away from Dean's hold. Good thing Dean doesn't loosen up cause Luke would've gone right back to trying to kill the man who was now unconscious on the floor. Then I hear the sirens. Finally. I get up from Cameron and stagger towards Luke, who still looks like he's anywhere else but here. I need to get him under control before the cops come inside and see the disaster that is still not going away, no matter how many times I blink.
"Luke? Luke, look at me." I say going up to him. I'm just glad Dean still has him in the hold or else I probably would have been a goner. Dean Is still looking towards Cameron. I lift my hands to the sides of Luke's face and move him to look at me. When I see what's in his eyes, I try to refrain from flinching. Everything hits me like a train going full speed. The guilt, the hatred, anger and sadness. All in him fighting to be set free. "Luke, look at me. Come back to me."
Once I say those words, he stops resisting Dean from trying to stay down. And slowly I see the Luke that I have come to know and care deeply about, is coming back and I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding.
"Cassie?" He says in a whisper, sounding so broken that I think I might cry. And I think I actually am crying, cause I feel something hot going down my cheek. I still hadn't let go of his face and I'm unknowingly caressing he cheeks. Scared that if I let go, Luke will disappear.
"Hey Creepy." I say before Dean lets him go and goes straight to Cameron. Luke falls back to the wall and lowers his head to rest his forehead on mine, something I figured out that comforts both him and me. Soon, officers come barging into the room with the EMT's and Paramedics and they all go straight to Cameron and his dad. Then everything is a blur until they wheel both Cameron and his dad away to the ambulance, and we follow outside. Once we go outside, two officers come towards us and immediately take a hold of Luke's arms, who doesn't look as surprised as I am.
