CASSIE

I was pacing around my room, trying to keep from jumping into my car and driving around the fight scenes just to see if Luke wasn't trying to get into one. But I know just because he felt betrayed, he will do everything in his power to keep that promise he made to Kyle. Dear God, help him.

"You know," I stop my pacing and turn to my door to see Julian. "You really have changed from the cold blooded killer you really are."

"What do you want, Julian?" I ask through gritted teeth almost actually growling, annoyed that he doesn't give a damn that I don't want this life anymore, and that he brings that part of my life back any chance he gets.

"I told you that I needed to talk to you." He says as he walks in all the way. He doesn't talk, but looks around the room.

"Whatever it is, the answer is no. And the answer will always be no."

"I think you would really want to here this, Princess." I opened my mouth to say something but he continued. "We don't want your little boyfriend to get hurt now, would we?"

I froze. I've never been able to show this much emotion when it comes to someone blackmailing me. But I've recently found it hard to keep a good poker face when it comes to a certain amber eyed boy.

"You leave him out of this." I growl out this time, standing up straighter and rolling my shoulders back. All he does is smile.

"There she is." He says so quietly, I almost didn't hear him. My eyes narrow and nostrils flare. When I don't say anything, he continues. "Now that I have you in the right state of mind, let's talk."

I had to refrain from rolling my eyes, but I don't say anything. Leave it to Julian to give the dramatics. He moves around my room and looks at the wall that has my own personal library, when I notice that his gaze lingers a little bit longer on To Kill A Mockingbird than any of the other books. My eyebrows draw together in question as to why he would linger at that book. Before I can question it further, he finally starts to speak.

"You remember Lonnie DeCassio, right?" He asks still not looking away from the shelves of books. I take a deep breath in and cross my arms over my chest.

"He was in his last stages of initiation right before I left." I say. He nods before picking up a book. The Count of Monte Cristo. Another Hart House favorite. I look away from him and towards my window. The moon was glistening in the lake, making me wish I was out there instead of in here. Anywhere but in the same room as the monster I call, Brother.

"Well," Julian says, bringing my attention back to the problem at hand. "He's been conspiring against the Pellegrino Family. His own family. I need him taken down."

"So send the assassins that are in the family for that specific reason."

"Oh no, I don't just want him killed. I want him to suffer." He says in a low snarl. I freeze, but he continues. "I want him to suffer so bad that he begs for someone to take his life. Or for him to try to take his own life."

His lips curve up in an evil smirk and a glint in his eyes tells me that he's enjoying this. He's always enjoyed bringing pain to whoever crosses him. Not just any kind of pain, but unimaginable kind of pain. The kind where you would actually think about taking your own life, like he wants me to do to this guy who crossed the Pellegrino Family.

He wants Little Wolf.

"If I don't?" I hesitate, not wanting to hear the answer to that.

"My dear baby sister, it sounds like you think you have a choice." He says sounding sickly innocent. He's far from innocent. "I told you already. If you don't, your little boyfriend will go bye bye."
