LUKE
"That jacket looks great on you." She says as she's eyeing me like I'm a piece of candy. She just came up to me and started talking, I don't even know her name. She has fiery red hair that makes her light green eyes pop with beauty. But not as beautiful as Cassie's. She has a petite body that looks like she's only skin and bones. Not like Cassie's body who has the right amount of curves in the right places.
"Thanks." I say with a shy smile. I feel my cheeks heat up a little bit but the butterflies aren't there, like they are with Cassie. I'm at the Hansen Mansion crowded by my peers and other students from different schools, some might even be in college. I could see Brady dancing with a girl who's probably way to young for his liking, but by the looks of how he's moving, I know he's too tipsy to care.
"So, you go to Morningside?" She says still looking at my jacket. We just got back home a couple hours ago and Scott and Brady dragged me here, so I dragged Cameron along. If I have to be miserable here, so does he.
"Yeah." I say not sure as to what to say. I'm not good with the flirting. I mean look at my track record with Cassie. "I'm sorry, but, what was your name?"
I could see Cameron holding in a laugh from the corner of my eye. She was about to speak when someone suddenly interrupted her.
"Ava Kane." Cassie says her name slowly, with a bit of disgust and almost loudly for everyone to know who this girl is. As Cassie says her name I could see Cameron tense a bit making him look scared. Am I missing something? Cassie is now standing with her shoulders rolled back, chin up and arms crossed in front of her making it known whose dominant.
"Cassie." The girl who is now known as Ava tries to look confidant but her tone deceives her making her words seem a little bit nervous. Cassie smirks slightly when Erin and Dean comes to her side and takes the same stance as her.
"This is Wolf Territory, Bitch! You ain't no Wolf anymore." Erin says from beside Cassie, showing off her wild side. Okay, I'm definitely missing something. At my thought Cassie looks towards me, and I can see a bit of hurt in her eyes. But figuring out if it's towards me was something else. Like a lost puzzle piece that you are trying to find.
"I was invited, just like the rest of these people." Ava says trying to make it known that somebody actually wanted her here. That doesn't help with the cockiness she's trying to build up. "Besides, this is a free country, I go anywhere I want."
"Not if you're not wanted here." Erin continues with her.
"Oh please, Erin. Don't act like you're actually tough when Cassie is around." All she received was a scoff and a cold laugh from Erin. "Besides, it's not like you can do anything. I brought back up."
At her words, two girls that I'm guessing are her friends step up and takes a fighting stance next to her followed by five big guys doing the same.
"Like Erin said. You're in Wolf Territory." Cassie said raising her hands motioning around the room, with a wicked glint in her expression, making me see a side of Cassie that I should be scared of. And with the snap of her fingers, almost every Morningside High Football and Soccer player stepped up surrounding the group of guests that looks to be unwelcome by everyone here.
Ava and her group looks around a little scared. Soon a guy steps up to where Ava is. He looks like your typical douche preppy jock with a side of stupid cockiness. Still got it! I would say that he was just another Christian Hart just by the looks of it. Christian is cocky but he's a smart kind of cocky. As if on queue the music stops as Christian makes his way to the front, looking like he wants to fight.
