CASSIE

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. I haven't gone skating in a long time. I forgot that feeling of gliding smoothly on the ice, almost like flying. And also it gave me a chance to hang out with Luke. I've been trying to find ways to actually spend some time with him. When Dean texted me to skip the rest of the day with him, Cameron and Luke, my mind was already set. And when Gordon asked me to be his tutor, I couldn't pass up that opportunity as well. I'm not really keen to asking someone out myself, call me old school, but if it comes to that, then I would do it.

Today is our tutoring date and for some reason, I'm actually looking forward to it. I got to know him and his friends little bit yesterday. I never realized how much he cared about Cameron. They asked me if I can cover up Cameron's black eye, and of course I didn't ask questions. It was a good thing that we have the same complexion. Don't get me wrong I was a bit skeptical about covering it up but they were pretty persistent on not saying how he got it, so I left it alone.

"Hey Princess, what are you doing here?" I look up to see Dean standing in front of me. I'm outside of the school for lunch today. There is a large oak tree that some students like to hang around at and just have a relaxing session. Lucky for me, when I got here it was empty and I'm pretty sure no one is brave enough to come sit down with me. Now I'm sitting here reading Tijan's Fallen Crest High. Well that is until Dean had to interrupt Mason, Logan and Nate about to tell off Sam's mother and my own best friend had to interrupt a good read. Story of my life.

"What you doing?" Looking up through hooded eyes and an angry look to give to him for interrupting this very good book and all he says is 'What you doing?' Okay, fine maybe I'm not having a good day. This morning my father called to ask us to lunch on Saturday for our 'monthly family bonding'. And honestly I'm not looking forward to it. Since he left, he only comes around once a month for a small lunch time. And during that lunch he tries to bunch up together everything that happened during the month that we hadn't seen him.

Dean realizes the look on my face and quickly puts his hands up as if in surrender and apologizes. He stands for a moment but soon comes to sit right next to me. I close my book but still don't say anything. I'm just staring at the grass in front of me. Waiting for him to talk or ask me why I'm being secluded today, but he stays quiet.

"My dad called this morning for lunch on Saturday." I finally say after a few long minutes. Dean knows that I stress the rest of the week till the lunch. He knows that there will be a hint of Little Wolf coming out during this lunch. Even a glimpse of Little Wolf out is hard to contain and come back from. It's like having a whole different personality. But somehow Dean always brings me back. After a moment he finally answers.

"Okay." He says nodding his head vigorously as if also thinking about what to do. I know he doesn't like my father, and I know for sure that my father is not too keen about Dean either. "You know he will try and get Little Wolf out right?"

I turn to look at him and he's looking at the grass, same as I was just a second ago. At this point, him saying that out loud makes it even more real. And I am terrified. My dad had always known how to get the Little Wolf in me out. He doesn't care as long as he has his weapon.

"So, your first tutor date with Luke is today. You excited?" He says moments later trying to get my mind off of the lunch which somehow is kinda working. I look towards him and he is looking at me with a mischievous smile. I rolled my eyes slightly shoving him.

"It's not a date. Besides, I only said yes because of the bet." I say explaining that it was only for the bet. Somehow I catch myself not believing it.
