LUKE

"He's your brother." She says right when the music starts, and soon we were blinded by wonderful and magical colors. And I'm suddenly wishing that we could have forever. Just ask her, Luke!

"That's actually not the question I wanted to ask you." I say after a couple minutes. She looks up to me and the lighting from the show is making her emerald eyes pop.

"What?"

"The question I asked about what you're going to do after graduation? That's not what I was going to ask you." I say looking down. I could feel my cheeks heating up and sweat dripping down, and I'm suddenly feeling like I need to do something to break the ice. And something comes to mind.

"What's the question than?" She asks furrowing her eyebrows. I turn fully towards her. I take a deep breathe, taking both her hands and going down on one knee. I can see her eyes widen and I'm a jerk for thinking this. But she brought me here to Disneyland, and I guess this place brought the jokester in me. I try to keep on a serious face and I can tell she's freaking out. I open my mouth as if about to say something, but at the last minute I drop down to tie my shoe that has been untied since we got to a good place to watch the show.

"Asshole." She breathes out, punching me in the arm making me lose balance a little.

"I'm sorry. I just couldn't resist." I say letting out a little laugh and getting up to my feet. I take her hands again. "But I'm being serious. I do need to ask you something."

Suddenly we are the only two people at this park. We are not crowded by tourists taking pictures, and I'm only seeing her. The real her. I start to become nervous and begin fidgeting with the watch on my wrist. I've never done this before and since the day I met her, I've always wanted to be the one she goes to if she ever needed anything. I want to be the shoulder she needs to cry on. I want to be the first person she thinks about when she wakes up in the morning, and the last when she closes her eyes and dream about a future with me. I want to be hers. And her to be mine.

"I really like you, Cass." I say only loud enough for her to hear me. I see her eyes widen a bit, like she was caught off guard. And for some reason that gave me the courage to say want I wanted to say. What I needed to say. "I don't know what it is about you, but you captivated me since the day I laid my eyes on you. Your smile. Your laugh. They are just a couple things that I like about you most. I like how the way you're eyebrows furrow making your forehead crinkle when you get to a good part in a book. And when you discover a good book, your eyes light up. I like the snort you do when you laugh a genuine type of laugh. Like ones you can't control. And I really like you Cassie."

I look down to the watch on my wrist, fidgeting with it before taking it off. "Since I've met you, you've been on my mind 24/7. And every time I don't see you, I count down the minutes that I'm able to see you're beautiful emerald eyes again. I saw this on a movie once. My brother gave this to me a year before he died."

"Luke-" She starts but I stop her, cause she needs to hear this before I chicken out again. I take her wrist and put the watch on her. She's just watching me put it on her. So I continue.

"I've never done this before. But I want you to be all my first everything. So Princess," I say after I'm finished strapping in on. I'm suddenly feeling nervous. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

By now I'm sure the people around us are watching this go down. Cause the only thing I hear is the sound of water splashing and the music still playing. Her mouth opens but nothing is coming out. I'm getting worried when she closes her mouth then opening them again and repeating, making her looking like a fish out of water. Soon she looks down at the watch I just placed on her wrist, then looks back up.
