A Love Worth Waiting For: Chapter 26- Getting Ready
Last time:
"Adrian....."
Not him.
Oh no
Now:
Amy's POV
I finally chatted with Matthew! We are now talking and chuckling until Thea cane back with a smile on her face. She handed me my ice cream. I then saw three people standing behind her. I wasn't able to see, since a blonde girl hugged me.
I had no choice but to hug her as well. Once we pulled away, I finally saw her.
"Addison?" I asked shock. She continuously nodded her head smiling.
"I missed you...." I smiled
"I miss you too, Amy!" She beamed. Wow! Addi sure didn't change. I saw a boy standing beside her. He looks familiar.
"Joshua?" I asked. He then smiled and placed his hands on his pockets.
"Hey Amy! Long time no see! Hows Kathy?" He asked
"Why do you want to know?" I asked while wiggling my eyebrows.
"N-no reason!" He stuttered. Eh....can't assume anything yet. The last person I saw was talking to Thea. I then noticed it was Adrian. I quickly pulled my sister away and gave her to Matthew.
"What gives?" Thea whined.
"Beings dragged around...." she then continues to mumble.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"Oh! We just moved here in town! I didn't know you guys we're here."
"Why did you move?"
"Oh! That's because we had gotten scholarships, and we wouldn't want it to pass." She then showed us three envelopes with a seal.
"Wait? Is that Oak Ridge High?" I asked
"Yes, seem familiar" Addison asked.
"Were going there! Let me rephrase that, we might be going there if we pass the exams"
"Not exactly Amy!" Thea then pulled out two envelopes with our name on it. I immediately got it our of her hands. I opened the letter saying Amy.
Dearest Amy,
We are happy to tell you that you passed the entrance exam! We really like your personality and we are happy to have you here in Oak Ridge High. Hope to see you!
-Principal Leila
"I passed!" I exclaimed as I jumped. Yes!
"Were going to shop for our supplied tomorrow. Wanna come?"
"Sure! I think Kathy will join too!" Thea replied. I just nodded my head.
"H-hey Thea!"
"Hmm" she replied.
"Kindly give this K-kathy please?"
"Sure Joshua." She accepted the paper and placed it in her side bag.
"Were going to go!" I waved goodbye to them.
"See you Matt!" Thea hugged Matthew goodbye as we headed going outside the carnival.
"Bye Thea!"
"Bye Amy!" He smiled at me as I returned it. Amy! Don't make it too obvious!
I hope the letter of Kathy contains good news!
Kathy's POV
I entered the house finding no one. I closed the door gently behind me as I collapsed on our couch. That was tiring yet successful. I looked around, the house was silent. Thea wasn't kidding when she said she was going to the carnival.
I went up our wooden stairs, making it creak for every step I took. I went to my room and placed my first place ribbon on top of my shelves where my other awards are placed. I laid on my bed as I was about to close my eyes.
"Were home!" A voice called. I guess they're back. I suddenly hear my door opening and Thea was inside.
"Thea! Do you ever knock?" I asked. She just shrugged as she handed me a letter and another piece of paper. She then went by the door.
"I wish you the best of luck Kathy" she then exited the room leaving me with the papers she gave me. I opened the letter with my name on it. I read it as I jumped. I got in Oak Ridge High! Yes! Though, I think Thea is still bummed about not going to her original dream school. Though at least we're still together. I then opened the other paper.
Dear Kathy,
Its your best friend! I moved here in this town and I'm surprised to see your sisters. So I took this opportunity to contact you. My number is underneath this note. I missed you so much!
-Joshua
Are my eyes playing trucks on me?! I read the last name again. Joshua. A name I haven't seen or heard in years. I admit I miss him. I saw the number and saved it in my phone. I contacted it.
After a couple of rings. Someone picked up.
"Hello?"
"I missed you Josh"
~~the next day~~
Chloe's POV
12:00
I am now here in the mall with Kathy, Amy, Thea, Matthew, Nathan and Kyle. We are still here outside the parking lot. Why? Cause the three sisters are waiting for someone. Just this morning Matthew said he was originally going to Oak Ridge High, and he's taking the opportunity. I see three people approaching us. A girl and two boys. Before I could see them more clearly, Kathy rushed going to one of the boys and tackling him in a hug. Wow! Just...wow!
"Who are they?" I asked Amy
"Oh! They're just our old friends from our home town" she replied like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"The blonde girl is Addison, the boy Kathy is tackling is Joshua, and the boy next to Addison is Adrian"
"Oh okay...let's head in the mall!" I rushed in while the others we're looking at me.
