A Love Worth Waiting For: Chapter 41- Secret Admirer

***
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping. I silenced it as I ran a hand through my hair. I felt my pillow, wet. Have I been crying all night?

I don't feel well today. Am I sick?

I kinda saw this coming considering I walked in the rain last night. I stood up from my bed. Nausea hitting me hard.

I walked over to my bathroom and fixed myself up. After a while I ate breakfast. I feel much worse now. Its official, I'm having a sick day. No use in going to school. Being sick is just one reason in my list why I don't want to come to school today. I no longer have friends. More over, everyone else is ignoring me.

I felt droplets of water staining my face. I'm crying again. They have no idea on how they broke me. I gave them my trust and they broke it like it's no problem. However, Marco....

Is he developing feelings for me? No that can't be right. He's ignoring me now. In addition, he is Camille's brother.

I lied back down in bed, grabbing the thermometer from under my bed. Its located there for a reason. All my medical equipment is located there. I inserted it on my mouth and waited for it. I grabbed my bag which is on the foot of my bed as I lied back down. I scavenged through my bag and looked at all the notes I have.

Then I realized, the pink envelope is no longer there. What if a person I know finds it? What is much worse is, what if a complete stranger found it?

I took out the thermometer. Trying to read at what it says. Its official, I'm sick. Plus, my sisters would come here today. I promised that I would pick them up at the airport. How could I, if I'm in this state?

However, I did inform them if they call and only if they call, I would pick them up. I just hope the twins are alright. Alina and Anika are troublemakers.

Despite everything around me crumbling, little by little ruining my fantasy. My family is the only sunshine in my dark world now. I would go to states with them. However, I don't want to be a burden. Mom and dad both working their butts off 24/7. Anika and Alina, having awards for their talents. Anika for her sports and Alina for her brains.

After a while my fever went down. As I took medicine in lunch. I grabbed my purse, fixed myself up and headed outside my room. I called for a cab to pick me up to drop me off at the park I went to yesterday. Maybe the letter is still there.

I took a stroll along the park. A lot of street vendors scattered throughout the street. Sipping on my drink as I skipped going to my favorite tree. To my surprise, it was still there. However, as I do led at it. It wasn't the same. It was a different letter.

Curiosity and fear soon struck me. An eerie aura soon feeling the air. I didn't like this one bit. I stretched my hand out to grab the newly blue sealed letter. The scent soon hitting me as I retracted my hand back.

I placed it inside my purse as I headed back to the entrance of the park. Gripping the strap of my purse along the way. I know something big is coming. Soon, a phone call rang. I scavenged in my bag to find my phone. It was an unknown number. Finally gathering up the courage, I answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Alexa!" Two high pitched voices rang in my ears.

"Alina? Anika?"

"Hi! We're already here in the airport." Anika's voice rang

"Alright, I'm gonna go fetch you. Just stay there with your sister. I'll be there soon." I replied as I called for a cab. Telling him to drive me to the airport.
