A Love Worth Waiting For: Chapter 48- This Past Few Years
***
I am now in my graduation outfit as my sisters add a little bit of makeup on me. It feels like it was just yesterday they were little girls. Now they're going to school here. They're sophomores right now. Today is my graduation day. I'm finally gonna work. Today is my last day as a student.
"There!" Alina exclaimed as she finished the last detail which was the lipstick.
"Thanks Alina!" I thanked as I stood up from my dressing chair.
"Last touch..." Anika placed the hat on top of my head as I fixed it a bit.
"Congratulations Alexa!" They chorused as they hugged me.
"And thank you for being here. I really appreciate it..." I hugged them tight.
As for Nathan, we chat. It's been a habit ever since. He would often wake me up in 2 am to chat with me since he just finished college last summer and he's now handling a business. He would sometimes review me for my exams. Though, this past weeks. He has been busy because of problems in their business.
For Kyle, I never saw him ever since that day I slapped him in the face. He stole my first kiss and I'm mad at him for that. He made me feel depression for that simple thing. What a jerk. But something inside me made me feel that, that kiss was right. The part made me feel like he really deserve it.
I shook my thoughts aside as I thought of my graduation.
My computer started ringing as I opened it. Nathan's asking for a video call. I checked the time. Right on time as the usual. It's his break at this hour.
I answered the call immediately seeing Nathan's face.
"Hi Nathan!" I waved at him.
"Woah!" He looked shock as he eyed me.
"Congratulations Chloe!" He exclaimed from the other line.
"Thanks Nathan! I wouldn't be graduating if it wasn't for you." I smiled at him.
"Hold on. Something's wrong..." he asked looking at me. I suddenly felt self conscious.
"Umm... is there something wrong with my face?" I asked as I looked at the mirror.
"No nothings wrong. It's just... take off your glasses."
"Take of my- what?"
"I said, take of your glasses."
I just kept looking at him as I took off my glasses.
"There... that's better."
"Aww... thanks Nathan. Forgot I had those on. Thanks for reminding me. Whoops have to go. See you Nathan!" I waved goodbye at my camera.
"Make sure to send pics!" He ended the call. The facecam is the only thing present. I closed my laptop as my sisters dragged me going to the cab.

"Caroline Alexa Tan graduating as the Salutatorian." The speaker announced as I climbed up on stage and got my diploma. I took marketing for my college and got honors on it.
Oak Ridge High really is part of my family. I did share bad memories in it but some good ones as well. It really tested our friendship.
Matthew and Thea are cool with the others already since they explained their situation. Matthew is currently working on engineering. The others are thinking on what they're gonna get for college.
"Amy Snow graduating from the course of Fine Arts!" the speaker announced as Amy climbed up the stage taking her diploma.

"Congratulations to Chloe!" Kathy exclaimed.
"Lets get sushi!" Anika exclaimed as Amy did a thumbs up.
"Sure... let's get sushi!"

We headed to a Japanese restaurant as we placed our orders. I ordered the same thing I did before. Noodles and sushi with a cup of green tea. As the others ordered their choice of meal.
"So... as a graduate of marketing... what company will you be applying in?" Addison started up the conversation while slurping her noodles.
"I haven't really thought about that." I replied with confusion.
"How about you Amy? What kind of company will you be animating in?"
"Still not sure..." she replied taking a a bite of her sushi.
I heard the door of the restaurant open because of the bell signalling another person entered the room.
All the gazes of my friends directed to the person behind me. The person wrapped his arms around me as he handed me a bouquet of flowers.
"Congratulations Chloe~" he cooed in my ear.
"Why thank you..." I looked behind me to see my one and only boyfriend. Yes, I said that right. I have a boyfriend. He's the first boyfriend I had have. I'm already working, it's normal to have one at this point.
I looked at his teal eyes as he looked into mine.
"Aww~ look at the couple! Their so sweet!" Addison squealed making Xander facepalm.
"Hey Amy... do you think you and I... " Adrian started off but Amy quickly punched him in the cheek to refrain him from talking.
"Finish your sentence and I'll end you!" She spat as she glared at Adrian earning a yelp from him.
"Hey..." I pecked my boyfriend's cheek. We've been together for quite a awhile now. Ever since we started college together.
"How did you guys end up together?" Thea asked looking at both of us.
"Well... he was there... and I was there... and yep." Was all I said. I can't exactly describe on how we became I thing.
"Isn't his sister and you not in good terms?" Kathy asked.
"Well, Marco and I have been talking. Marco defended me from his sister. He was always there. Sooner or later. We fell in love."
"Aww... that was really sweet!" After Amy said that everyone in the table awed.
"They're really onto us. Ain't that righT Chloe?" He grinned.
"Well... you could say that."
Unlike Amy and me, Marco had advance classes so he already has a job since last summer.
Oh how time passes so quickly. This
past few years has been really quick. All I know is...
I'm happy here.
I'm happy here with my friends and family.
And I'm happy with Marco.
