A Love Worth Waiting For: Chapter 27- Welcome to Oak Ridge High

Chloe's POV

I am currently outside school, wearing my school uniform and my new backpack over my shoulder. The school doors hasn't been opened yet.

Right now, I see Kathy, Thea and Amy from a distance. Kira following behind them. I then saw Addison.

"Hey! First day of school!" Amy beamed.

"Yes!!" I am so excited.

"Hey Thea! Could you take a picture of us?" Kira suggested as she took out her camera from her bag. Thea placed the phone she fidgeting back in her bag.

"Sure thing!" She handed Thea the camera.

"3....2..." she called out as she flashed the camera. The film came out. I grabbed it as I waited for the film to finish. It was an amazing memory of our first day at school.

The school will open in about 20 minutes. So we have lots of time. Thea gave her camera back to Kira. They started to take loads of pictures with her camera.

It was an awesome day! I then see Nathan, Adrian and Joshua coming.  My smile soon turned into a frown. I miss Kyle. I hate admit it but I don't think this will be a very good school year if he's not around. My eyes were searching for him but no luck. I guess he really did leave.

"Chloe!" A shout came. I looked at where the shout came from. I see a brunette boy running towards me. His brown messy hair flowing with the wind. His backpack on his shoulder. Once he became closer, I start to see more clearly. My heart skipped a bit when I saw him.

"K-kyle?!" I asked running up to him. We then hugged. He kept on laughing as I tightly embraced him.

"Surprise!" He beamed. I just smiled up at him. I'm on my tip toes just to hug him. It's either his abnormally tall or I'm abnormally short. Nothing in between.

"Kyle! Why didn't you tell me?!" I asked surprised. I separated from him as he rubbed his nape.

"I already told you, surprise!" I laughed. We soon headed back to the group.

"Kyle?" They all chorused. I nodded my head eagerly to see their surprised and speechless faces.

"Right here!" He joked as he pointed at himself.

We heard the bell ring as the other students entered. We will soon be separated since we're not in the same level.

Matthew is a Senior. Amy, Nathan, Kyle and I are Juniors. Kira, Adrian and Thea are Sophomores, and Josh and Kathy are freshmen.

Though we have different schedules and sometimes meet with each other through classes. Its a school system.

"What class do you have first?" I asked looking at my schedule.

"Math" Kathy answered

"Chemistry" Kira answered

"Music!" Thea beamed.

"Arts" Amy stated.

"I have Science" I scanned my schedule.

"I have English!" Addison smiled.

"I have Math! So I'm with you Kathy!" Joshua said, earning a smile from Kathy.

"I have chemistry!" Nathan flashed a smile at Kira.

"I have music!" Adrian said as Thea face palmed.

"Arts!" Matthew stated looking at Amy.

"I have S-science...."Kyle stuttered. Cute!

"Though, let's go to homeroom first."

We walked there in silence. We entered the classroom and headed to whatever place we like. Thea sat at the back of the class as Kathy followed her. Amy sat in front of Thea and I sat beside Kathy. And so on, so forth.

I kind looking girl wearing glasses with her hair tied onto a bun and her heels tapping against the room while she entered the room.

"Welcome to Oak Ridge High!" She beamed.

"I am Leila, your school principal!" she introduced

"I am so happy to see new students coming here! Such a wonderful sight" she smiled as she sat down the teacher's table.

A girl with black hair raised her hand. Catching Principal Leila's attention.

"Yes?"

"Why are there Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors doing in one class?"

"Very good question miss....."

"Its Melody"

"Well, if you must know I established this rule to help you. Every student present in the room is a new student here in Oak Ridge High. So I expect you to come to homeroom everyday. I also established this to help you find friends from different levels"

"Now I will be checking attendance" She then opened the file containing all of our names.

"If I call your former school, please raise your hand"

"Northern East Academy?"

Nathan, Melody, Matthew and couple of other students raised their hands.

"Liberty High?"

Adrian, Addison and Joshua raised their hands.

"Blue River High"

Kyle was the only person who raised his hand.

"Only you?" She asked kindly.

"Yes ma'am. I'm from another country."

"Okay, Willow Shore High"

Kathy, Thea, Amy, Kira and I raised our hands.

We then heard the bell ring.

"See you tomorrow class. Now off to your next classes."

We all looked at our schedules. We all have different schedules so we went by pairs.

Amy and Matthew went to Arts. Adrian and Thea went to Music. Kathy and Joshua went to Mathematics. Kira and Nathan have chemistry. (That sounded wrong XD). Addison headed to English. While me and Kyle went to Science.

This is gonna be a long day!
