Leah's Pov-

I grabbed Brentons hand and eyed mom the whole time.

Brenton and I both sat beside Tony and Sam, they both looked just as nervous as Brenton and I did.

My dad looked annoyed, angry even - that seems to be his permanent face - while my mom was almost giddy to share her secret. I looked at Sam who shrugged at me, not knowing what was going on either.

"Next time you stay out, learn to text someone. Especially when it's with a waysider." My dad snapped glaring at me.

"His names Brenton. And my curfew isn't even for another four hour. It's only six." I stated, I kept my composure best I could, but I can't say the same thing for Brenton. He had his elbows on his knees and one first was clenched, the other rubbing his taut jaw. I must say, he looked sexy.

"So," this time it was mom who was talking. "Obviously you all know about the Dubai trip. Sam and Leah shared the idea to take you guys along With us. Do you want to go?"

"Seriously?!" Sam shouted. "And they can come?" She asked pointing at Tony and Brenton.

"Yes, as long as y'all have everything packed and ready by Sunday." Dad told us.

"Now go on while we deside what we're doing for dinner." Mom told us smiling.

We all went up to Sams room, I immediately hugged Brenton, he birdied his face in my shoulder and I could feel his chest shudder with a laugh.

"Im sorry my dads been such a douche towards you." I said.

"Nothing I can't handle." He told me. I smiled and pulled back. I kissed his cheek and walked into my room. I looked in the mirror and pulled my hair into a bun.

My door opened and brenton walked in. He stood behind me and kissed my neck.

"Tonys staying with Sam." He told me. "Your mom and dad are going out to eat, so we have to fend for ourselves."

"I can make Mac n cheese...that's about it."

He chuckled and looked at us in the mirror. "Wow, wife material."

"You should take me to your house." I said smiling.

"You sure you want to see my family again?" He asked.

"You see mine all the time so why not?" I smiled and walked into my closet.

"Alright. I'll take you on one condition." I looked at Brenton. I began undressing. "If my sister says something unfiltered you won't take it to heart because trust me, she has no filter. "

"I know."

I flipped through my closet and picked something I never wore.

I picked out a gray shirt that crossed in the back, a pair of white jeans, I put on a pair of sandals. Lastly, I put on my makeup and curled my hair using my curling wand.

I walked out of my bathroom and saw Brenton on my phone.

I looked myself over in the mirror before turning on my heel and shouting "ta-da".

Brenton looked at me with a smirk.

"I didn't think you owned a pair of white jeans." He told me. "Oh and I beat your high score on temple run."

"You what?" I glared at him and squinted my eyes.

"Warning, my sister has no filter. So if she says som-" I cut Brenton of smiling.

"Brenton I think you're more nervous than I am." I told him and he rolled his eyes. He knocked on the door. "I met them before."

"That was years ago baby." The door opened to reveal brentons sister. She barely aged since the last time I saw her. Her Blonde hair grew out a lot though, falling half way down her back. She had a small nose ring and a skin tone lighter than Sam's.

"Oh my god, Leah!" She explained. "It's been forever. You were so ugly and nerdy when I last saw you!" I couldn't help but laugh. It was true.

"Vivian." Brenton snapped and led me into the house.

"Vivian did my rope get here?" I heard a female voice from the other room. A woman walked in, she had blonde hair and green eyes just like Vi.

"No mom, it didn't come yet." Vivian told her obviously bored by the subject of rope.

"Oh, hey leah. It's been quite a while. How have you been?" Brenton's mom asked.

"I've been good. Thank you." I smiled and looked at Brenton. He was looking down at me with a loving look.

"I hope youre hungry, we already ate dinner but we have Apple pie and volcano cake." Rosette said. "Brenton help me."

"How is someone so innocent like you with someone like Brenton?" Vi asked.

"He isn't wayside Brenton when he's with me, he's just Brenton." I told her.

"I smell bullshit, Leah." Her mom brought in the pie and cake then left.

"I don't know, honestly it kinda just happened." I said honestly.

"How's Sam? I haven't seen her in so long." I knew years ago that vi had a small crush on Sam, the thought weirds me out now. My boyfriends sister dating my cousin. That just smells like Alabama to me.

"She's doing good. Her and tony are finally a thing. That boys been chasing her since we were kids."

"He still comes around here a lot. He grew into himself." I nodded and smiled at the memory of short, chubby tony.

"Brenton told me you asked him to leave Wayside for you. Did you know he actually thought about it?" I was shocked by this tidbit  of information.

"He didn't tell me that." I said. I looked at him in then kitchen with his mom, my smile grew bigger and he caught my eyes. I held eye contact a few seconds before looking back at vi.

"So since wayside is a family thing, why aren't you in it?" I asked.

"I don't have taste for it. Not that I'm not in it, I am, just not as actively. I don't go to the parties, or deliver, or carry a concealed weapon on me." I chuckled and couldn't help but smile through out the whole of our conversation.

"Leah," I looked at Brenton. "Is it ok if I stay at your house?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

"Well, I'm taking that as my cue to let you leave." Vi said.

"It was nice seeing you." I said chuckling. We hugged then his mom hugged me. I met up with Brenton before we walked out, he took my hand in his, braiding our fingers together.

Brenton opened my door and let me slide in the seat, he shit it and climbed in the drivers seat, as soon as he sat I leaned over the center console and pressed my lips against his. Brenton replied in a seconds time, wrapping his fingers in my hair keeping me their as our lips danced together.

"Thank you for contemplating it." I said pulling away. I rested my forehead against his, both of us out of breath.
