"Finally." Sam complained and took my hand. "You look cute by the way." I smiled as she practically dragged me from the hotel lobby. Oh she was too excited.

I wore a pair of ripped jeans and a yellow T-shirt, I looked over dressed compared to everyone else in Dubai. "Thank you."

"Our Uber's been waiting for ten minutes." Sam hissed and then climbed into a silver Camry. I followed behind her and smiled at the driver.

"Sorry about that." I said.

"Your lips are swollen." Sam pointed out, an amused smile was on her face, while a deep blush burned mine.

"It was the Kylie Jenner lip challenge." I said with a chuckle.

"Mhmm, Brenton did it too I'm guessing."

"Of course. Where's the fun if it's only one person participating?" Sam laughed and grabbed her phone.

"I'm trying to find a dress like one of these." Sam said, showing me different pictures. She was wanting a dress that hung low in the back, she wanted it to sparkle. "I want silver or white. Classy."

"You don't do classy." I pointed out.

"That's true, but a girl can have a persona." I laughed again and looked at another picture.

"I like that one." I said when she stepped on a white dress, it hung low in the back and had a chain decoration crossing the empty space. It was also sparkly.

"I hope these shops have something like it."

"It's Dubai." I pointed out. "And you have one of my dads many credit cards, trust me, you'll find something." Sam smiled and I rolled my eyes, I wanted to know where all of his money was coming from.

"No stooping Detective Jackson." Sam snapped climbing out of the uber, I resisted the urge to roll my eyes and followed her. "This is going to be great." Sam said smiling big.

Back in the hotel, I lugged my heavy dress into the bedroom, tempted to just throw it on the floor as soon as I entered. Instead, I hung it up in the closet and sat on the edge of the bed.

I didn't see Brenton when I walked in, I assumed he was gone. I walked into The hallway then to Sam and Tony's room, they were sitting on the couch, Tony was eating a bowl of popcorn.

"Do you know where Brenton is?" I asked sitting on the small sofa.

"I think he got called in." Tony looked at me with a look that meant please-don't-freak-out-because-I-Have-no-idea-What-to-do-If-you-Do.

"What time do you think he'd be back?" I asked.

"In a couple hours at most." I nodded and looked at the tv. Children. They were watching the Cartoon Network station again.

"Do you know that Brenton considered letting me join wayside?" I asked breaking the silence. Tony and Sam both looked at me with a doubtful stare.

"You?" Sam asked.

"Brenton thought about that?" Tony asked. "I doubt that."

"Why'd that?" I asked defensively.

"I know you're handy when it comes to fighting, Leah, but that's not all Wayside is." Sam said.

"You fight?" Tony was dumbfounded, carousing me to laugh at his lost expression.

"I got ahold of one of my dads many cards when I was younger and signed up for self defense classes and kick boxing classes." I explained.
