I placed another present under the Christmas tree and smiled, it was almost Christmas. The happiest time of the year. I topped the present with a bow and walked to the kitchen.

Mom and dad were still preparing the food and Sam was sipping Hot Coco and Rum. "Who's all coming for the dinner?" I asked even though I probably asked before and just wasn't listening.

"Your aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gramps couldn't make it and Nona is taking care of gramps." Dad explained. Ever since we was all little, we called our grandma Nona.

"Is Tony and Brenton coming over?" Mom asked.

"Yes," I said.

"And the others?" Dad asked stirring the crock pot. He was seemingly in a good mood today, he always was around Christmas time.

"If they're in town, I believe so." Sam said slurring some of her words. Mom sighed and took her cup, Sam put her head in her hands and I heard her sniffle.

Tony and Sam aren't on good terms, they haven't officially broken up but they're not talking at all. I grabbed her arm and she stood up, I walked her to the living room and watched as her eyes grew wide at the sight of the lit up Christmas tree.

"Fairies." She said and I chuckled.

"Babe, lay down." I said and forced her to lay on the couch. After some struggle, she was practically knocked out.

I went up to my room and shut the door, I walked to my dresser and lit a candle from Bath and Body Works before I played some music.

Jocelyn Flores by X played through the Beats Pill. I slid on a pair of my Pink shorts so that i was just wearing  my sports bra and shorts and sat on my bed. I played Candy Crush and Pet Saga Rescue on my phone.

After I got stuck on a level I couldn't beat, I slid on a jacket and left it half way zipped before I turned off my music and went downstairs. When I walked in the living room I saw Tony sitting on the end of the couch that Sam was laying on and smiled, he was rubbing her feet.

"What'd she drink?" He asked quietly.

"Coco and Rum. She'll be fine in a little bit. " I said and he nodded. I walked outside and saw cars lined up on the curb for the church that's on the corner of our neighborhood.

A car pulled up and I smiled. It was Brenton. He got out and glared at me. "Get your ass inside before I beat it." He snapped looking at my outfit. I shivered some when a breeze brushed by and nodded my head, I walked in.

"Hey Brenton." My mom said smiling. He hugged her and the sight brought a smile to my face.

They talked for a little bit before Brenton and I sat out back on the swing while we listened to music.

I grabbed the knife and threw it. "It's not staying, Ashton." I snapped completely aggravated that after thirty six tries I still can't land the hand knife. "Stupid knife."

"I think the one who's throwing the knife is the stupid one." He said walking behind me. I glared and faced him.

"I'm the one with the knife." I snapped and pointed it at him. He only smiled and grabbed my wrist.

"Drop it." He whispered in a deep voice that scared the living hell out of me. I dropped the knife and he pecked my lips softly. "Good girl."

He pushed me up against the wall and held my hands above my head. "Get - off - my - sister."  I knew we both heard Brenton, but I was the only one who looked. Ashton placed another kiss to my neck and licked a line up my pulse. Oh dear god. I was in for it.

Brenton never scared me. He was always my little brother who was sweet and caring. Until he got protective. Even over our mom he'd get in her husbands face, snatch him by his shirt, and completely test him.

Now it was my turn.

Brenton and Ashton were never fans of each other. Ever since I brought him to the hotel in Dubai Brenton has had a major problem with him. Ashton chose to be chill and ignore it, due to me begging him to.

"Brenton, chill out." I said and Ashton and I pulled apart. Ashton glared at Brenton and I saw his jaw tick. "How about we leave." I said and started to pull Ashton past him but Brenton stuck out his arm, stopping Me. "What?"

"Be safe." He said. "He's Greenland." I looked from Brenton to Ashton and saw the pure rage in Ashtons eyes.

"Greenland?" I asked him.

"I didn't tell you bec-" I didn't wait for an excuse, I raised my hand and stopped him.

"Everything thing I told you. I told you shit about wayside and you're part of Greenland?" I spat. Greenland was the rival gang of wayside and since my great grandpa was the beginner of wayside, I take it very personally. Especially because he lied to me.

"I didn't tell you to tell me." He snapped.

"How much did you tell them." I asked and heard the door shut, Brenton walked inside.

"None of it." He said. "What you told me didn't leave this house." I looked away from him, I was never sure to believe him or not. He was an expert lier.

"Bullshit."

"Watch it." He warned.

"Or what?" I dared. He glared at me and I stepped back some. We practically had a starring contest before I decided what to do. "Leave." I said. The look on Ashtons face was priceless.

"Nah." He rolled his eyes and picked up the water bottle, sipping from it. "Im not leaving."

"I will jab you with your own foot, leave." I barked and pushed his chest. He gripped my wrist and pressed my hand against his chest, specifically his heart.

"Feel my heartbeat, I'm not lying." He said. His beat was steady, he was looking directly in my eyes and never broke contact. "I didn't tell them anything."

"It doesn't matter if you did or not, our sides can't work together. We can't be together." I said and pulled away.

"You're giving up?"

"Get out."

"No." He snapped. "You knew who I was even back in Dubai, you knew I wasn't just some guy that traveled for work. You had your damn suspicions."

"I never once thought you'd be with greenland."

"What's the difference if i work with Greenland than if I worked for the Garrows?" He ran an angry hand through his locks and then touched my cheek. "Vi, you knew I worked with someone. How else would I have known about wayside, about all of the weapons, about your products?"

"The difference is its Greenland." I said. "You have to leave, you can't be here."

"You're giving up that easily?" He asked sarcastically. "Everything about trust, love, all of that bullshit, right down the drain, right?"

"It's not like you're giving me much of a choice, Ashton. You lied to me. You made me look like a fool in front of my people."

"I'm your people."

"No. You're Greenland." I said. I moved past him and picked up a water bottle, I waited for the door to open and slam shut before I took a seat on the concrete.
