Luxe's POV
Now that I finished interrogating Nova, I had to do what I dreaded most.
I had to have an actual conversation with my brother about Nova.
He was in his room, studying the principles of physics in a textbook. What a nerd.
I didn't even bother knocking and just walked into his room. "I don't really want to do this, but unfortunately for both of us, I have to. I need you to tell me what is going on with you and Nova."
Adam rolled his eyes and put his textbook down. "You decide that the first conversation we have after five years of not talking would be about your friend?"
I shrugged. "Listen, I couldn't care less about you, it's just that you never associate with me so I wanted to know, why Nova?"
Adam sat himself up and furrowed his eyebrows. "To start, she isn't my obnoxious sister so that gives her a couple of points. Unlike you, Nova has a lot of interests that I also have, and she genuinely cares about what I have to say."
What?
He continued. "Nova is multifaceted. She isn't like you, a two dimensional being that only cares about art. Nova loves science, math, law, art and music. She just has overall love for life, and that's something that I admire. You, well, you just hate everything. And that is why I spent time with Nova."
"I didn't ask for an essay, God. You can admire her from afar. She is my friend, and we were friends long before you decided to come back into the picture. I was just worried that you had feelings for her. Good thing I spoke to both of you about this." I turned on my heel to leave, but Adam stopped me.
"Wait! You spoke to her about me? What did she say?" He asked seeming worried.
I left without giving an answer.
