Ash's POV
My father opened the door and did not seem happy. "Ash? What are you doing in here?"
I looked to see that Luxe was feeling slightly intimidated by my dad. He is a big guy covered in tattoos, after all.
"We had a last minute client. She goes to my school, no worries. I just finished so you can use the room for the next appointment." I was about to reach for Luxe's hand again but quickly realized now wasn't the time.
I led Luxe back out into the lobby area in silence. She saw her friend Nova and ran to show her the tattoo. It's so cute how her face lights up when she's excited.
"So here it is! I wanted it because it's classy and elegant yet edgy. Plus, my name is Luxe so diamonds are perfect for me." She explained.
Nova smirked. "Well technically, you're name is Abigail so don't think that diamonds exist for you."
"No way. You mean to say that Luxe is just a nickname that you came up with for yourself?" I laughed, trying to imagine Luxe as an 'Abigail'.
Luxe nodded. "It comes from 'luxury', and I think it sounds pretty badass. I hated the name Abigail because my mother had to have three perfect children with names that all begin with 'A'. All boring traditional names too. She couldn't have chosen something like Azalea or Amethyst?"
We all laughed at that one.
"We should be heading back. My brother will be suspicious and don't even ask about my parents. Thank you so much for the tattoo, I love it. There will be more of them and I can't wait. See you in school." Luxe kissed me on the cheek and Nova seemed confused but happy.
I can't wait to see Luxe on Monday. I just don't know what I'll do without her until then.
Luxe's POV
"So what was that back there?" Nova asked, referring to the kiss.
I laughed. "It's called a kiss. You should know, if not I'm sure Adam will give you a crash course when we go home."
Nova blushed and backed off. "I'm just happy for you. It escalated quickly, but I didn't take my time with Adam."
I nodded. I pulled my hoodie on over my head to hide my new tattoo from my family. You're not supposed to keep it covered afterwards for a while, but I have no choice. I also have to apply the lotions in private. Hopefully my family doesn't notice the painkillers missing from the medicine cabinet.
Let's just hope Adam doesn't find out, or Nova doesn't tell him by accident.
Or worse, if my parents see it. Especially my mom.
