Let's Make a Deal

Chapter 24

Luxe's POV

"Hey, no worries. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye, baby." Ash said as he kisses my cheek. I smile back softly and watch him walk down the driveway and to his car. I just wonder what kind of mood his father will happen to be in when he gets home. I'm not terribly religious, but I always pray that Ash will be safe and his father will be sober.

I see his red car pull away and speed off. My parents will be home soon, and they don't know about us. We've only been dating for three weeks and no one knows except Nova.

Good thing she's coming over soon too. Adam will be home this weekend, and she always sleeps over on nights when he's here.

My phone rings and I answer quickly without checking the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Hey Luxe, it's Nova. I'll be over in a second. I'm with Adam and we're just picking a few things up at the store."

I roll my eyes. "Could you get me more soda? Your dumb boyfriend keeps drinking it all."

Nova laughs gently. "Don't you mean your dumb brother? Just kidding babe. Anyway, yeah we'll pick it up."

I hear Nova say something to Adam that sounded muffled, but at the end I heard "make sure you bring in your ID." I don't know what exactly they're trying to get, but I'm going to keep this to myself and use it against him when I want to get my next piercing.

"Ok thanks. See you later!" I hung up.

What could Nova be getting with Adam? I'll find out one way or another. Besides, Nova sucks at secrets.

I see my mom's car pull into the garage and sigh. Great. Now I have to deal with my parents and Ava.

Ava skips up to the front door, pushes it open and pushes me while she's at it. Little brat.

My mom comes in behind her. "Hey, I'll need you to watch Ava tonight. Your father and I are going on a date. Have fun, I left money on the table for pizza." And she turns back out the door and leaves. Typical.

This is going to be one great night.
