Nova's POV
Ash and Luxe have become very close in the past couple of days. Luxe comes in class and just sits next to him instead of her normal seat. Our teacher doesn't seem to care, and I'm happy that Luxe is finally getting close to the guy of her dreams.
Ash finished his project with her help, and I think that now they're just planning Luxe's tattoo. I can't wait to see it but Luxe isn't letting me see it until the day of.
Luxe's POV
Ash had tracing paper that he stole from the tattoo parlor laid out on the art table. He lightly sketched the tattoo as I described it to him.
"I like it, Luxe. Simple, yet beautiful. A perfect first tattoo." Ash smiled as he darkened the fine lines with his pencil.
"Thanks. I plan on getting more, but I wanted something small just for my first one. I'm so happy that you're doing it for me." I took the paper from him to admire it.
"Me too, I can't wait. Tonight at 7. Make sure your friend is on time, because I don't want to get caught giving you a tattoo for free. It won't go well with my boss." Ash warned.
"We'll be there on time. I told my mom we were going to the library, but I don't think she cared enough to realize what a bullshit excuse that was. And your boss. Will you really get in trouble?" I was kind of regretting putting Ash in danger like that.
Ash shook his head. "I'll find a way to get out of it. He is my dad after all. And besides, my dad already has plans for 7. I made sure he wouldn't be around.
I nodded slowly, taking it all in. Before I could say anything else, the bell rang.
"See ya tonight, Luxe." Ash smirked and headed out the door with his backpack.
That evening:
"Mom! We're leaving!" I called upstairs.
"Wait! Let Adam drive you to the library!" My mom shouted back, and I heard Adam groan in his room.
He came downstairs and his expression totally changed when he saw that Nova would be coming.
"Ready to go?" He asked smiling. Nova smiled back and he grabbed her hand, leading her outside to the car. I trailed behind, unable to believe how he can be so fake around her. He even led her to the passenger side door and opened it for her. They actually make me gag.
I sat behind Nova and put my earbuds in for the car ride. I knew they would say the cliche couple stuff that I hate. Nova rested her hand on Adam's knee and I was already over it.
I looked at the sky and thought about Ash and my tattoo. What if he messes up? No. He won't. He's experienced. I just hope this whole thing isn't awkward.
We pulled up and Nova tapped my leg to let me know we're here. I unplugged my earbuds and headed inside the library. We just had to wait for Adam to leave for us to walk to the tattoo parlor. Luckily, it's pretty close.
"So baby, do you want help studying for anything? I'm sure we can find a quiet room." Adam smirked at Nova and she rolled her eyes.
"Sorry but it's girl time, babe. I'll see you tomorrow night for our date and we can go wherever you want then. See you then." Nova kissed Adam and he left.
She saw my disgust and chuckled. "What? You wanted him to leave, didn't you? Now let's go. It's already 6:30."
I got up and we headed out. It was only a few blocks until we reached the shop. The parlor was pretty small, but it's local.
I pushed open the door and saw Ash waiting at the counter. He had a short sleeved grey shirt that exposed all of the tattoos up his arms. I could see the outline of his abs on through his tight shirt, and I was blushing when he noticed me standing here.
"Oh, hey Luxe. I'm ready for you now if you're ready." He grabbed the tracing paper and flashed his smile at me.
I nodded. I asked Nova to stay in the waiting area until I finished up.
Ash led me to the back of the shop in a small room with a chair and table. He fumbled with his equipment and I sat down in this little chair.
"It's going to hurt, but I'll try my best to distract you, okay? Try not to think about it." He grabbed the ink and filled the needle.
I nodded. "Okay. I got this." I sat back and looked away. I had to take my shirt off so he could access my neck. I hope that this isn't
"This will only take about fifteen minutes because it is small and has thin lines." He too the needle and started tattooing my collarbone. It hurt like hell, but I listened to Ash as he was humming and singing along to the radio.
"It's almost done. Just hold on a second." Ash put the needle down and began cleaning the area.
I watched him concentrating and smiled at how cute he is. Ash looked up at me and smiled. We had a brief moment between us. One that went unspoken, but we connected in a way. Not a Nova and Adam way, an actually cute way.
I must have been stuck in the moment because I almost didn't notice Ash lightly kissing my tattoo.
I must have blushed really hard because Ash smirked.
"Ready to go show Nova?" Ash stood up and offered to take my hand.
"Well, not yet." I stood up and kissed him. It only took him a second to react. Once he did, it was electric.
That was, until Ash's dad walked in.
