I woke up for school the next morning with a splitting headach. I walked to my bathroom and took to Advil and made my way back to my bed. I sat down and picked up my phone seeing seven messages from Adam.
Adam: I'm sorry Babe, please answer me
I know you have your phone, just let me talk to you
Babe, answer
Please. I'm sorry, I really am. text me back
Clarity, I can see you through the window, you're awake
Goodnight babe
I'm sorry Clarity.
I turned off my phone and sighed. I rested my head on my pillow and closed my eyes for a few moments before there was a knock at my door.
"Are you going to school today?" Parker asked after cracking the door.
"No, my head is pounding." I responded.
"Well there are waffles downstairs if you want them." He said. There was a look in his eyes like there was something more he had to tell me but didn't. " I'll be in my room." He said. I nodded and got up off my bed.
Once I was downstairs I saw Adam in my kitchen sitting with my mom.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Clarity, I want to talk to you." He said not giving me a chance to do anything before grabbing my wrist and walking to the back door.
Once we were outside he lit a cigerette and ran his hands threw his hair.
"Parker invited me over. He said I should apologise." Adam started.
"So you're only here because of parker?" I asked. he took an drag of the cig and blew it out in frustration.
"No, I mean, that's part of why, but no. I came because I am sorry, and you didn't deserve what I said. I've been through a lot of shit, and it's hard to sit here alone. All my family is gone and I just don't know what to do. I realized that I really do have something left here. I have my friends. I'm sorry I said those things, and I'm sorry I showed up to that club last night, and I'm epically sorry I tried something on you like that." He said finishing off the cigerette.
"Adam-" I started but he cut me off.
"I don't expect you to forgive me. And I don't expect you to want to be friends after all the shit I've done. I just need you to know I'm sorry." He said.
"Adam, I forgive you." I said and started to laugh. He looked at me in shock.
"Y-You forgive me?" He asked.
"That's what I said." I replied. He grinned and picked me up spinning me in a circle.
"Put me down." I said giggling.
"No." He responded.
"Put me down." I screamed. and laughed.
"Okay." He said then threw me in the pool.
Once I came out from the water I put my hand out for him to help me up but instead of him pulling me up I pulled him in. He groaned and I laughed.
"Clair, why don't you and Adam come in for an early breakfast." My mother spoke softly.
"Yea, one sec." I responded splashing Adam then pulling myself out of the water to the shed where we keep our beach towles. I pulled out two and threw him one.
He caught it and we both dried off then headed back inside and sat down at the table where my mom was sitting.
"Hey mom." I said.
"Hi Clair." She responded. After Parker came nothing had been the same between us.
"How are you and Adam?" She asked.
"Were fine." I responded.
She nodded then her phone rang. I overheard her talking about work and I sighed.
"Clair, my boss just called and he wants me to go in. Parker is upstairs and I'll be back around eleven." She said. I nodded and looked at Adam.
After she walked out of the room I rolled my eyes standing up. "Where are you goin?" He asked.
"To change. I wanna put on my bathing suit and actually swim." I responded. "And you should to."
"I'll head over to mine and change and I'll meet you back there." He said. I nodded and headed upstairs.
I put on a plain black bathing suit and a white sundress overtop. I headed down the stairs and sat in a beach chair and I waited for Adam. When I heard him come out and look at me I smiled and he sat next to me.
"Are you just gonna lay there or are we gonna swim?" He asked.
"Swimming sounds nice. Although I'm very tired." I said.
"Well how about we swim now, and we nap later." He suggested.
"Sounds good to me."

A few hours of swimming later and we were just talking and floating in the pool. Parker had left so it was just us here. We were playing twenty one questions but I'm pretty sure we were past twenty one.
"Thoughts on the afterlife?" He asked.
"Well, I belive there is one. Although I'm not sure about the whole heaven and hell thing. I mean I'm not saying there isn't one, but I'm not sure." I said. "One true passion."
"Cars." He said simply.
"That's not a real answer. Give me a real answer." I said splashing him.
"That is too a real answer." He said splashing back.
"Is not." splash.
"Is too." Splash.
"Is not." Splash.
"Is too." Splash.
"Is." Splash. "Not." splash.
"Is too." He said, but instead of splashing me back he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me towards him.
"Is not." I said back.
"You wanna know a true passion of mine?" He asked. I nodded and he pulled me closer ever so slightly. "Music. I've always loved music and I've always loved to sing. I just don't to it." He said, his eyes darting to my lips.
"From what I've heard you have a pretty amazing voice." I said.
He just looked at me and smiled. Not a smirk but a full blown smile. It was the kind of smile to make other people smile. He started to lean in closer to me and my hand landed on his chest ad his tightened on my hips.
His lips brushed against mine then...
