(Adams p.o.v.)
She nodded at me to go but I shook my head back. Then I was pulled off by security and dragged down the hallway back to the waiting room. I sighed and sat down running my hands through my hair endless amounts of times. This was all my fault, I shouldn't have left her alone. What the hell did I do that.(Hour 1)
A doctor came out to question me.
"What's her name, age, and what's your relation with her?" He asked me.
"Clarity, but she doesn't like being called that so call her Clair. She's seventeen, and I'm, uh, her boyfriend." I decided to go with boyfriend so I could stay with her.
He nodded suspiciously, "How did this happen?" He asked and I froze for a moment.
"I-I don't know. I live next door and she just came over and walked in and my friends brought her hear after she threw up blood." I explained pointing to the half asleep idiots next to me.
"Well what's your name?" He asked.
"Adam." I answered. He nodded and stood up then walked away.
(Hour 2)
She's still in surgery, and the doctor hasn't came out to give me an update. I don't know what's going on in there and I have half a mind to go and figure it out. But I didn't, I stayed in my seat, my leg bouncing and my hands in my hair as my elbows rested on my knees.
"She's gonna be okay dud, chill out." Flynn said.
"What if she's not okay, what if she doesn't make it out. It would my fault, and I would have to explain to her mother how her daughter was killed." I spat at him. He looked at me and frowned, a look of shame made its way on his face.
"Don't doubt her, she managed to escape his clutches one time, she's been branded, and she'll make it through this just the same." He said and my eyes widened.
"The branding, the burn. The doctors are gonna ask questions." And Flynn looked just as scared as me as we tried to figure out what to do.
(Hour 3)
The doctor busted through the door and ran two one of the nurses, "I need you to get 4 bags if type O negative blood to operation room 6."
"What's going on in there?" I asked, but he didn't answer. Only turned and walked back through the door he came through.
I overheard one nurse talking to the other saying how they only had two bags of O negative blood left. I have O negative.
I shot up out of my chair and almost jumped on the small nurse in front of me.
"I have O negative blood. you can take my blood." I said.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Positive." I nodded and she led me into a room to draw the blood.
(Hour 4)
The doctor came out again earlier and said she was getting thtere. He said the tear in her stomach was worse then they thought so it wash a more difficult surgery. So now they just have to stitch her up.
I patiently waited until the doctor came out again. "Do you want to see her. Only you can because they're just friends." I turned to the guys and yet nodded at me.
"Yes." I said and he motioned me to follow him. Once I was in the room he told me to let him know when she wakes up. I nodded and he left.
(Hour 5)
I sat there for an hour, even fell asleep while holding her hand. Then I felt a gentle hand touch my yeaa and I looked up to see Clair smile at me.
"Oh my gawd, Clarity, are you okay?" I asked.
"You know I really hate it when you call me by my real name."
"Awe, why babe?" I asked.
"I-I, when I wa-was. I can't t-tell you." She responded and tears welled in her eyes.
"I'm sorry for asking, don't cry." I replied then sighed.
She grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
(Clair's p.o.v. )
I softly grabbed his hand, only two people ever called me that. My father, and Alex."I'm just not ready to talk about what happened to me." I said.
"Okay, when you're ready, you can talk to me." He said. I nodded and then the doctor came in and motioned Adam to followed him.
Adam looked at me and then stood up and left. I sighed and relaxed and started to fiddle with the clip on my finger. Every so often Adam would look over at me and I would smile but he wouldn't smile back.
When he walked back in with the doctor he sat back next to me and grabbed my hand.
"So the doctor wants me to tell you, that he's putting you to sleep. He said that would make for easier travel, because there setting up a little hospital room thing at my house. And they don't know when you're gonna wake up, but you will wake up. The longest you should be asleep is forty two hours." He said. My eyes got wide.
"No, I don't want that to happen. What if I don't wake up. What if hii fall into a coma, what-what if. What." I said starting to talk slower and get more tired.
"Goodnight Clarity." He said.
I grabbed his hand and gave it a light squeeze and he squeezed back. "I-I don't want to sleep." I said slowly trying to keep my eyes open.
"Babe, you have too." He said. My eyes drooped and then shut.
As I drifted into sleep a gentle kiss was placed on my forehead and something was whispered in my ear. Then I was asleep.
