"It's a boy." said Mary and handed me the baby. "He's beautiful." I replied but tears ran down my cheeks. "The Turks will take him when he's old enough." she said. "I have to find a place where he is safe." I replied and she nodded.

Adam lives...
Happy Birthday dad. I hope you have a great day. I don't know how long I will be here but I miss you so much. This place is horrible and scary. I do not know who sent me here because I was anesthetized on the way to the mental hospital. One day I'll escape and we can move far from here. From your daughter Vanessa.
"It's daddy's birthday today." said a little girl happily. "Yes it is." I replied and platted her cheek. "Nessie." she said scared when the door opened. "Don't worry, they won't see you." I replied calmly and she disappeared when a doctor and a nurse come in.
"Are you talking to yourself again?" asked the nurse. "There's nothing else to do here." I said. "It's time for your treatment now." replied the doctor. "You will not get away with this, I'll tell the world what's going here and it will give life in prison." I shouted. "Your stupid girl." she said coldly and put me in a straitjacket.
They took me to a room and a heartbreaking scream were heard when they gave me electric shocks.
Later in the evening I went to bed without having eaten anything and cried myself to sleep. I couldn't understand how a person could be so cruel.
When I opened my eyes the next day I was in an unknown bedroom. The window was open and my stomach screamed of hunger when I felt the smell of breakfast. I took on my favorite jumper and brushed my white-blonde hair before I went out.

(Thirteen years old Vanessa)
At a table sat a woman with red hair and she smiled at me. "Who are you?" I asked. "My name is Mary." she said kindly. "I'm Vanessa." I replied and sat down on the chair. "Eat, you must be very hungry." said Mary. "You have no idea." I replied and took a bite of my sandwich. "Poor little thing, you didn't deserved to end up in that awful place." said Mary. "How did you know?" I asked confused. "Because it was me who saved you." said Mary. "Thank you." I replied and hugged her. "You're welcome." she said.
-End of the flashback-
Why do I always write flashbacks about mental hostpitals? Mary is like a mother to her❤️ I hope you liked this chapter.
