"Look, a ice cream store." said Vanessa happily and we walked in. Me and Nessie ordered a blue berry ice cream because it was our favorite flavor. We sat down and Penelope slept deeply in her carriage. After an hour we went into a toy store and she was very happy.
"Do you want this cute teddy bear?" I asked and she shook her head. She pointed at a bat and I gave him to her. "Of course you want a bat." I said. "Isn't it enough with all the bats that fly around at night?" complained a elder lady. "It's nothing wrong with bats, they're amazing creatures." I said. "Don't you sister want to have a teddy bear instead?" she asked.
"She loves bats." said Vanessa and showed her fake vampire teeth. "God, have mercy on my soul." replied the lady. "You better fill your bedroom with garlic, if you don't want to have unexpected visit." said Vanessa and she went quickly out. "Never mess with vampires." said Vanessa and I laughed.

I sat on the couch when Penelope lay down beside me. "I'm your brother and I will protect you." I said and her blue eyes said more than a thousand words. "You're an wonderful brother to her." replied Adam. "Thank you dad." I said.
"I know she knows we love her, no matter what." he replied. "How?" I asked. "I can read minds and she's thinking right now that both you and Vanessa were brave in the toy store." said Adam. "Do you agree, were we brave?" I asked and she nodded. I lifted up her in my arms and kissed her forehead. "It's you who's brave, you're our warrior." I said and smiled.
