Vanessa's: POV

"This is my favorite café." said Alex and went in. "It's beautiful." I replied. He ordered a coke and a chocolate ball to himself. "Do you want anything, I pay." said Alex. "I'm good." I replied. "Okay!" he said and we sat down at the table. I heard some women whispered and I felt uncomfortable. Alex gave me a worry look but I faked a smile.

"We can go somewhere else if you want." said Alex kindly. "No, it's fine, really." I replied quickly. But when they started talking about the fire it became too much. We walked out and I was close to tears. Alex stroked my cheek and I looked at him.

"I'm being so stupid." I said. "Don't listen to them, you're an wonderful girl and you're not stupid." replied Alex. "I've done horrible things that can't be forgiven." I said. "Like what?" he asked. "I can't tell you." I said low. "I'll always love you, no matter what." replied Alex and kissed my forehead. You wouldn't say that if you knew what I have done. I thought for myself.

"It's my birthday on Friday and I wonder if you would like to come to my Halloween party?" I asked. "I'd love it." said Alex. "The theme is masquerade." I replied. "Can you keep a secret?" he asked and I nodded. "I love masquerade." said Alex. "There's nothing to be ashamed of." I replied. "I know." he said and laughed softly. "What will you be?" he asked. "I'll dress me as a skeleton girl." I said. "Cool, I'll be a vampire." replied Alex and my smile faded. "I bet you'll be very handsome." I said and he smiled.

Vanessa wants to tell him but she knows he won't look at her the same way again. I hope you liked this chapter.
