~Ben's P.O.V~
"I don't get it. How can you be so obsessed with a fictional character?" I asked. I was at Daisy's house with June, just chatting about how the hell they can be sooo obsessed with a person that's not real.
"Fictional characters are made in a way that they are practically flawless." Daisy smirked, while on her laptop, drawing the blonde-haired red-eyed character that she was ever so obsessed with.
"Also anime boys are extremly attractive." June stated, reading something, probably a manga.
"Agreed." Daisy chuckled.
"I don't get it." I laughed and ran my hand through my hair, knowing how red it makes Daisy's face. And, as my luck, I turned to her and made eye contact for a milisecond before she looked away, back at her laptop. I smirked and turned to June, who was snickering and looking from me to Daisy.
"Hehe, Daisy and Ben sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G~" She cooed, and Daisy snapped her head around, pink dusting her cheeks. So cute... I mean what.
"No, mkay?" She groaned playfully.
"Yes, mkay?" June mimiced, putting her book down and chuckling. She even did her best british accent to mimic, though her Australian one still seeped through. Through the laughter, I heard a loud bang from the door, and it fell into silence. I turned to Daisy, she had heard it too. We all turned to where the bang came from. The door. My heart raced and I couldn't help but shuffle next to Dais, snuggling up next to her, trying to coneal my fear. June joined me and we sat there, staring at the door, all too scared to do anything.
"I know what it is." Daisy whispered, her voice shaking.
Bang!
Five seconds later
Bang!
Four seconds later
Bang!
Three seconds later
Bang!
Two seconds later
Bang!
One second later...
Daisy had started to breath heavily, and I felt her shaking against me. The banging stopped. I sighed in relief, though something told me it wasn't over. June just sat there, staring at the door. She wasn't shaking, and her expression was vacant. I heard footsteps from outside. A face poked into view through the window. It was grey, well, a light grey. With drooping features. It's jaw hung loosly, with wripped cheeks and black blood. It's eyes were black hollows. I gasped and Daisy looked away. Though June just stared at it. And it stared back. Me and Daisy looked at each other and shrugged. Why was she just staring? Did she not realise that we could DIE in a few seconds?! The creature looked behind it and it's eyes widened, before it ran off into the woods. I sighed, wrapping my arms around Daisy, scared, trying to not cry. I'm such a crybaby...
"W-Why... why did... why did the creature... l-leave?" She asked, her voice shaken and shocked.
I guess we got our awnser.
There was a knock at the door.
"Hello? Daisy? Are you in?" I groaned at that voice. Lewis.... Of course it was... Daisy perked up, standing, the shaking and nerve gone, and walked over to the door. She opened it to the light brown haired boy. He looked up from the ground, hands in his black hoodie, his eyes lighting up.
"Lewis." Dais groaned, acting annoyed. Her act wouldn't get past me though.
"Daisy... Please-"
"No! Shut up! I don't want to hear your stupid apology. What happened? What happened to make you act like a complete jerk to me and everyone! I've lost people, alright?! I'm going through things. But am I acting like a prick? No!" This startled everyone. June raised her eyebrow, obviously confused about wtf is going on. She's never like this... She's never snapped at anyone... The room was laced with silence while Lewis planned his retort.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. Actually. You know what?!" His voice had raised. "You don't know how much her death effected me! I was... I was so sad... And our parents. They split up. Blaming each other, night after night they would argue! I was tired, kept up by them shouting! When I got the chance to make a change, to be popular, to be happy, I took it. Guess it meant loosing someone else important to me..."
Me and June looked at each other, as this heated argument continued.
"Honestly, the romantic tension between those two, amirite?" She muttered. I turned to her and glared. "Oh, right, right, just tryna make a joke." But she was right, from the look in their eyes, behind the flames, I saw a need for friendship... or... something more.
"Just.... Just leave, Lewis." Daisy sighed, the heat finally dying down (BEEEEFF).
"Alright." He nodded, flicking his hair out of his eyes and turning around, walking off the porch. "Oh, and Daisy?"
"Yeah?"
"I l-... See you later." And with that, he walked away, past the face of that creature.
The creature that was staring at him, black eyes filled with hatred.
