"Hey." I smiled as my lovely boyfriend came and sat down next to me at the poolside. We were on a little holiday to a place near my new home. I had to move out of my old house, the whole forest was shut down for a while after the incident, and we liked our new house too much to leave. We had kissed so many times, but it had never been anything more. And honestly I didn't care. It's just so lovely, I've never even had a boyfriend before. We pulled away and he gave me a smile. He pushed me into the water. Joke's on him, I grabbed his arm as I was falling and pulled him in with me. We laughed and splashed each other.
It was like none of that trauma in the past had any effect on us.
