4 days until christmas

Another booorriinngg day. It was already ten o'clock when I woke up so I thought that I might as well go for a walk in the woods. Sure, it's dangerous, what with Static and the monster roaming around. Not to mention the cat that could come for me at any moment. I changed out of my onesie into a cute little outfit. A grey jumper with a daisy on, my black ripped skinny jeans, my favourite combat boots and a see-though smock raincoat. It always rains where I live, so It's best to be prepared. I also put in my daisy earrings, you know, for irony. I groaned as I stepped out into the rain, hearing the heavy rain splat against my raincoat. Whew, fun times.

I had been walking for about half an hour, following the path, not straying too far. Until, finally, I came to my little hangout place. I smiled as I saw my ouija board tucked into a crevice of a tree, safe from rain. I had put it there when me and Ben talked to Static. I looked to the lard pond/ small lake that only raised when it rained. I remembered trying to walk across the fallen tree on top of it, the rain splashing around us. I remembered how he pushed me in one time and I pulled him in with me. We both laughed and laughed. I smiled. I miss him. I wish I could see his sweet smile again, feel his arms around me in a comforting hug. My mind trailed off so much that I didn't feel the cat stroking against my leg. I looked down and jumped slightly, but the cat didn't flinch. It sat down and looked at me with round eyes, clearly asking me to pet it. It's fur was a dark ginger, and it's eyes were a bright amber that seemed to shine through the rain. I reached my hand out and stroked the top of it's head. It purred slightly and rubbed it's cheek against my hand a few times. It kept doing that for a while. Eventually it opened it's mouth slightly as it rubbed against my hand again. Eventually it completly opened it's mouth and latched it's unsual fangs onto my hand. I screamed as it's fur turned a dark grey, it's bright eyes hollowing and the fur and skin on it's stomach sagging. In my reflex, I kicked it away. But it got up quickly. It was like a nightmare. I started runnning, holding my bleeding hand against me as I slipped and tripped through the mud. The monstrous cat was faster though, and it jumped up and nipped at my hand again. I yelled and ran faster. I made my way to my gate, out of breath and blood trickling down my hand. I didn't have time to acknoledge Lewis's bike parked outside my house before I ran inside, slamming the door shut, flinching at the sound of claws against the wood. I panted and locked the door, my knees shaking they eventually knocked and I fell to the floor, crying slightly. I looked up after a while and gasped. A boy with light brown hair and shining dark blue eyes stood in front of me, looking down at me with a smile, a hot chocolate in his hand.
"I apologize, you weren't here when I arrived." Lewis held out his hand and helped me up. We stood there, him smiling, like his usual self. Me panting and frightened and clutching my bleeding hand. "Um... Your hand..."
"R-Right." I shoved past him into the kitchen, opening one of cuboards and pulling out a med kit. I sat down at the kitchen table, Lewis sitting opposite me, and pulled up my sleeves. I flinched as I saw my scars, horrible scars from ages ago. I shook my head and drew my attention to the wound on my arm. The more I looked the more I noticed: The blood was mixed with a black liquid. I felt my heart skip a beat. I got up and ran my hand under the cold tap, trying not to wince at the pain. I saw little black veiny lines spreading out of the wound, but they faded away after a while.
"So how did you do that, love?"
"Don't call me love." I said sternly
"Right." I sighed and sat back at the table.
"I was walking through the woods," I got out a square cotten bandage. Bad memories came flooding to me, the last time I used this med kit was when.... "I saw this cat," I got out a small bandage. "And it- Do you mind holding this down?" I looked at Lewis, who seemed to be staring off into space.
"Hm? Oh, yeah." He came round to the other side of the table and placed the cotten bandage on my hand. He was pretty close to me, and like with any boy being close to me, I couldn't help but feel my face flush. I winced at the brief pain as I started wrapping my hand with the bandage.
"Thanks."
"No problem." He scruffled my hair like he use to when we were both a little younger. I smiled briefly as he walked to the other side of the table
"Anyway. Long story short, the cat turned out to be one of those creepy grey creatures and bit me. I was very scared." And there he was, staring into space again. "Lewis."
"Oh, yeah, sorry... I just can't get over how cute yo-" I cut him off.
"Don't you dare flirt," It hurt to say it, but I didn't want to fall for him again. "Thanks anyway."
"I was going to compliment your outfit, not you as a person, gosh." There's that corrupted-by-the-popular face. I sighed.
"Sorry."
"It's fine."
