I woke up with a scream, being free from the horrible nightmare. I shook my head over and over, panting, trying to get it out of my head. Static wouldn't do that to me, would she? She wouldn't kill me. She wouldn't... I sat there for a minute, that felt like an hour, just staring at the wall, my legs pulled close to my chest. I risked a glance at my clock to see it was five minutes until I would normally have to wake up. I sighed and swung my legs over the side of my bed. Another day of school, another day or torture. At least I had Ben and June to keep me company. I liked June; she's kind, nice, caring, quiet, never mean or rude, yet stuck up for herself and her friends. Also her accent is pretty entertaining. I slipped out of my grey pajamas and into my outfit for today; A short sleeved plain white top with my favourite daisy pinafore on top. I looked into my mirror and twirled around a few times. I guess I looked alright. I put my long brown hair into two high bunches, silently hoping that someone would point out that I looked like Hatsune Miku. I put on my shoes and my raincoat and made my way out of the house. The leaves cracked beneath my feet, making me jump every time. I'm such a scaredy cat sometimes... I turned to the trees, hoping to see Static, but it wasn't her. I saw a creature. With pale grey baggy skin, a hunched back. It's jaw hung loosly from it's face, dripping a black liquid. It's eyes were completly black, shining and filled with life. My breath caught in my throat, I couldn't scream. I rubbed my eyes. It wasn't a nightmare. It wasn't a hallucination. I kept eye contact with it as I walked ahead, and it's disformed head followed me the entire time. I started to walk faster. And faster. Until I went into a sprint, taking my eyes off the creature. I risked a glance back at it to see it on the path, back at my house, just staring at me. I turned back around and ran. Fast.
It was finally lunch break, and I skipped to the libary. Dodging feet, ignoring phrases like 'Go to hell' 'Weirdo' 'Goth' 'emo'. I ran into the libary, over to Ben and June. I hugged Ben, still scared from that morning.
"You okay?" Ben and June asked in unison. I smiled and let go. After some hesitation, I told them what happened.
"Oh my..." June breathed out, looking shocked. Ben on the other hand had his head on the table, saying 'holy shit' over and over again. I looked around the room, spotting Lewis just a few metres away from me with Megan. He looked down, shocked as if he had just seen a murder, muttering something while his stupid girlfriend rubbed his back to confort him. I tilted my head and scowled. Why? Just why? Ben and June were looking at me with confused faces. I smiled and shook my head.
"Nothing." I murmured, and Ben nodded, understanding what I was glaring at. His eyes darkened and his expression dropped. I sighed. "Dude I don't like him." I leaned over and patted him on the head, and he smiled. June giggled.
"Awww! Den? Baisy? I ship it!" I went back into my chair and felt my face heat up. I glanced at Ben and he had his head in his hands, blocking his probably completly red face. "Hehe, red faces, you must like each other!~" I groaned and felt butterflies form in my stomach again.
"Stooooooooop." I murmered, though I laughed a bit. And Ben started chuckling quietly.I think I do have a crush on him.
