Chapter 19
Hunter came over to us.
"Sorry it took so long." Hunter said.
Eric came over too.
"Hey, do you guys have time to go get diner. My treat." Eric said.
"I would love to but it's not really my decision." I said then looked at Hunter.
"We can go." Hunter said looking at Eric.
"Ok. We will put our stuff away then meet you at your bus." Eric said then walked away.
"Why are you guys on the ground?" Hunter asked us.
I told him what happened.
"Are you ok?" Hunter asked.
"Yeah, I'm ok. I just don't know if I can make it out to the bus." I said.
"That easy. I'll carry you." Hunter said.
Sam got up.
Hunter picked me up.
"I'm gonna go put stuff away." Sam said then walked away.
Hunter started walking to the bus. I could tell he wanted to say something but now probably wasn't the best time. Hunter opened the door and went in. He sat me down on the couch.
"Sorry." I said.
"For what?" Hunter asked.
"For being another problem you don't need." I said.
Hunter came over and sat down next to me.
"Skyler." Hunter said.
He put his hands on either side of my face. He gently moved my head so I was looking at him.
"You're anything but a problem..." Hunter stared.
"Right now you would probably be helping everyone pack but instead you're stuck in here with stupid me. I'm so stupid... I should just go ho..."
"Skyler stop. You are..." Hunter said cutting me off.
"But..." I said cutting him off.
"No. Skyler, you are never going back there. It's not safe. You don't deserve to be treated like that..."
"But I do." I said cutting him off again.
A tear rolled down my face. Hunter wiped it away with his thumb.
"Skyler..." Hunter said.
I could hear the hurt in his voice. I couldn't look at him.
"Skyler, please don't do this. You haven't done anything wrong. You are beautiful inside and out. You don't deserve that crap they put you through. I'm sorry... I should have been there. You needed someone and I just left you. If anyone deserves that crap it's me. If I were you, I wouldn't have used my crutches either. It's ok Skyler." Hunter said.
More tears fell out of my eyes.
"Skyler... look at me... please." Hunter said.
I looked into his eyes and lost it.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I kept saying.
"Baby its ok. Shhh." Hunter said trying to calm me down.
He let me cry for a couple minutes.
"Hunter. You don't deserve it either..." I said.
"I love you Skyler and nothing will ever change that. I'm never going to let anything bad happen to you ever again." Hunter said.
He pressed his lips softly against mine for a second. Hunter deepened the kiss after a minute. There were so many emotions in that kiss. We both pulled away out of breath a couple minutes later. We stared into each other's eyes while we caught our breath.
"I love you Hunter." I said.
He gave me a quick kiss. The guys came on the bus. Hunter let go of my face and grabbed my hand. I wiped the rest of my tears away.
"Are you ok, Sky?" Matt asked me.
"Yeah I'm fine." I said.
They all sat down on the couch. They all talked about what they could do to improve during the performance. In my opinion, I thought it was perfect. There was a knock on the door a half hour later.
