Chapter 21
2 MONTHS LATER
The past two months passed by really fast. Hunter and I were closer than ever. It's like we had never stopped talking.
Sam and I grew really close. It was late at night and Hunter was holding me while we fell asleep. We were still on the road. There was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Hunter said quietly.
I heard the door open.
"Is she asleep?" It was Sam.
"Yeah." It was quiet for a minute.
"You know, I've never seen you this happy." Sam said.
"Yeah, I know. She's just... She's perfect Sam. I could never ask for anyone better. I love her." Hunter said.
"I can tell." Sam said.
"Sam, I think she's the one. Ever since I met her years ago, I could never stop thinking of her." Hunter said then he started playing with my hair.
"Don't let her go." Sam said.
I heard him get up.
"Goodnight Hunter." Sam said.
"Goodnight." I fell asleep.
"Hunter. Hunter wake up." It was Sam.
I moaned.
"What?" Hunter asked half asleep.
"Come here, it's important." Sam said.
Hunter got up and so did I.
"You better open this damn door right now!" Some guy yelled from outside.
"Who is that?" Hunter asked.
"I don't know but he says he knows someone's in here." Sam said.
Matt came out.
"Open the door!" The guy yelled.
Matt and Hunter went to the door. They opened it.
"Where is she?" The man asked. He sounded familiar.
"Who?" Hunter asked.
"My daughter, Skyler." I looked over at Sam scared.
"Who?" Hunter asked again.
"Oh don't play stupid with me."
It was my dad.
"I honestly have no idea who you are talking about." Hunter said.
Sam pulled me back to Hunter's room.
I heard someone fall.
