Chapter 25
It was the night I was going to sing with Hunter. I was backstage with Sam.
"Sam... I'm kind of scared. What if they don't like me?" I asked.
"They will love you. I just know it." Sam said.
Hunter came over.
"Skyler, is it ok if I introduce you as my girlfriend?" Hunter asked.
"Yes." I said.
It was finally time for me to go on.
"Now I would like to bring someone special out on stage. She will be helping me sing the next song. Please welcome my beautiful girlfriend, Skyler." Hunter said.
Everyone cheered. Someone handed me a microphone. My stomach was full of nerves. I went out. Hunter grabbed my hand.
He gave me a 'you'll do great' smile. Someone started the intro into Wanted. We sang the song and everyone cheered so loud.
Hunter said something then we walked off stage. Once we were backstage, Hunter got in front of me and kissed me. A flash went off. We stopped kissing and a guy ran off.
"I'm sorry... that's probably gonna be everywhere tomorrow." Hunter said.
"I don't care." I said and kissed him.
"Come on let's go..."
"Celebrate! I hope that's what you were gonna say." Rachel, Hunter's manager said.
"That was amazing Skyler." She said.
"I wasn't going to say that but it sounds like fun." Hunter said.
We went to some place and I met lots of people who I already forgot their names. Rachel came over to me and Hunter.
"Hey Hunter, can I talk to you for a minute?" Rachel asked.
"Sure." Hunter said to her.
"I'll be right back. Go find Sam." Hunter said to me.
They walked off and Rachel handed Hunter a drink. I found Sam.
"Hey what's going on?" Sam asked.
"Hunter sent me over here because he's talking to Rachel." I said.
It had been at least an hour and still no sign of Hunter.
"Sam, I'm gonna go sit down." I said.
I went over to a couch and before I knew it I fell asleep.
