I woke up two minutes before my alarm on my phone was supposed to go off at 7:30am. Grabbing my ipod I hooked it up to my speakers and scrolled through the songs I wanted to listen to while I was in the shower. (I have speakers in my bathroom.) I checked my mood and I was feeling slightly apprehensive and I felt I needed a song to help me 'cool down.' That's it! So I chucked it on and jumped in the shower. As soon as he started singing I joined in.

'Its another firey afternoon (so hot, so hot)

Hotter than the month of June

So we should go beach now (cool down)

cool down where the waters right

Lets grab our boards and run, run, run, run

Run to the nearest shore

School pau, lets go now

And hele out the door

The waves is on fire, the day is getting hot

this is my desire, the one to hit the spot

Cool down'

I sung the rest of the song knowing that it was definitely working its magic on me. Certain songs help me out, they make a world of difference.

I got out and got changed and ran downstairs to have brekkie. I noticed J making toasties so I asked for cheese, tomato and onions and I waited patiently for him to make them. I decided that today was gonna be a super cool day and nothing was gonna bring me down... oh the power of the secret!

I got my tongue a little burnt from the hot tomato but I didn't mind so much. That was until I looked at the time, 8:30, school starts like now. So I yelled at my bro and we scrambled around the house grabbing necessary equipment needed for the school day. Still with half a toastie in my mouth and a full one in my hand, I decided I'll just go with J to school, save the environment and save petrol and all!

We pulled up and I just gave J a wave of my hand and practically jogged to my vertical. Luckily my vertical teacher is pretty chillaxed with us older ones coming in late, or it may be the fact that Jules and I are her faves.

I walked in with two minutes to spare, sign anyone?!?!

'Yo miss! Sorry I'm late.' I yell over to Miss McCall, possibly one of my favourite teachers of all time.

'Ana! You always only just scrape in don't you?' She says as she ticks my name off the attendance roll and I sit next to Jules in the back row. These have been our seats since third form.

I hand her my half a toastie I have left and she gladly accepts it. I look around the room and say hi to certain people I've made acquaintance with over the years.

I can tell Jules is giving me a look and so I say 'what?' to which she replies 'Oh, nothing, you're just acting completely normal considering everything that happened this weekend.'
