As I lay on my bed wondering what the hell I was going to do about tomorrow, I got some quick inspiration. I texted Ma and Jules and told them to come round asap and help me out. I didn't tell them what for I just said at the end of each text that there would be a whole pizza each if they came. As soon as I pushed send I started the timer on my phone. These girls never failed to impress me with the speed of which they would come as soon as I mentioned anything that had to do with pizza.
As I ran downstairs to get the door for Mary (as I knew the boys most definitely would not get up off their fat asses to get it themselves) I noticed ma and pa hiding in the kitchen. I opened the front door for Mary and walked back into the kitchen.
'Hey yo, when did you guys get back from work?' I asked my parents, who are both accountants at the same firm.
'Hey pinkie, (my nickname since I was little; I watched a behind the scenes of Snow White and that's how she held the cup and spoon- pinkie out. And since then I always tried to emulate Snow Whites grace, he he he) oh we got back just after 5, right babe?' Mum said looking over at dad, who was packing away some hummus.
'Hm? Yeah, round about then love.' He smiled at us both and kept unpacking.
My parents are totally gross, still loving each other like the first day they met. Not that I'd know, I wasn't there obviously but they sure acted like it. When they got at that stage I tried to migrate elsewhere but this time I wanted to know what they were doing for dinner.
'So, dinner?' I asked looking at the time. It was quarter to 6 and my rents liked to watch the 6 o clock news every night.
Dad shrugged his shoulders at me. (Is this shoulder shrugging a male thing? Seriously annoying.)
Mum just said, 'Fend for yourself, I think the boys are getting Chinese tonight.'
I smiled and was just about to tell them Ma and Jules were coming round when Mary decided this was her moment.
'Ladies and Gentlemen!' She yelled as she walked in the kitchen, 'Your favourite daughter's back in town!' I rolled my eyes and my rents laughed and my dad replied 'Too right sister! Show me some love!' he said it in a really girly voice and then proceeded to walk all girly (palms out, chest out, hips swaying) right up to Mary and they both done the fake kissing both cheeks thing. My dad is such a freak. I swear I don't know how he scored a lady; he could pass off as gay with just one eyebrow lift. Mary then went up to mum and gave her a bone crushing hug and then with an arm still around her gave me the dirty look.
'Ew, you guys still have that ugly maid eh?' she says obviously talking about me.
My mother answers her, 'Oh yes dear and she's terribly bad at cleaning, I really think we should let her go.'
My father nods his head in approval. 'Yeah she's crap! Off with her head!' He says dramatically and all three of them start laughing their heads off.
