It was Saturday night and I seemed to have found myself in a dress and full make up. A short dress I might add. With no tights underneath. I just had to keep repeating it in my head, it's all for Ma, it's all for Ma...
Nah, fuck Ma.
'I hate this fucking slut dress!' I yelled out, my voice hopefully in the direction I wanted.
'If I hear you saw one more bad word about that dress Ana I swear I will cut you!' Ma yelled back at me as she walked in Jules' room threatening me with... an eyelash comb? I shook my head in total disagreement. They always pulled this on me; I was always the one with the sluttiest dress, the sluttiest make up, the sluttiest heels. I hated all this ridiculous dressing up when I knew that at one o clock in the morning I was gonna look like trash to everyone around me.
We were going over to a party at Christina's house. She also assured us that none of those ridiculous boys will be there. She made sure not to invite them. Since Wednesday night Ma had turned into a hyper active version of herself.
It was nice to see but I knew she was over acting it. She hurt but I didn't want to bring it up again, I want her to be able to say what she wants to me, not try and force some counselling session on her.
And of course whatever Ma wanted she got. And this weekend it was to get plastered whilst looking like sluts. Right up my alley that one. Yeah right.
I looked in the mirror for about the thousandth time cursing under my breath about the length. It was a simple tight black one shoulder length dress, with some frilly things on one side. I was also wearing these ridiculous but cool high heels on. They were grey, coral and purple and it seemed to match well with the make up that Jules done. Of course they made me up first because out of the three of us I was the most useless one with an eye shadow brush.
It was stupid of them to do though because it gave me a little too much mirror time and with every glance I stole from the mirror the sea of unease grew in my stomach.
It's all for Ma, It's all for Ma, it's all for Ma...
'What's this chanting all about?' I opened my eyes to see Mark standing in the doorway. He was our sober driver and Ma dragged him over to Jules' aswell, just for a bit of torture I think.
'Can you not see what I'm wearing? Which corner are you dropping me off to tonight?' I joked and he laughed along.
'Yeah, I guess it's not something I'd ever see you wearing pinkie.'
'You can say that again.' I sighed in defeat when Ma and Jules burst into the room obviously done with their transformation. My girls looked hot but I still didn't like my outfit.
Ma was wearing a purple strapless dress that draped forgivingly around her body. It pretty much looked like she grabbed a sheet and wrapped it around herself. A cool sheet though. She had on plain black stilettos and a black clutch. Her make up was gold and purple and she looked like she was ready to go clubbing in Ibiza. Jules was wearing a simple black singlet with an electric blue coloured waist high skirt, with white pumps, she looked mighty fine I might add.
Mark gave us a wolf whistle. 'I have to say you guys have grown up a lot. Seems like it was only yesterday when you guys were little squirts.' He let out a nostalgic laugh and then walked away. It sounded like he was being a little sentimental... weird.
