The Wolf Inside.

Ch:28

 I stopped running when I came to my house. I turned back into my human and jumped onto the roof of my house. I crawled into my window and walked over to my closet. I put on some clothes and went downstairs. I called out for my brother, but he wasnt there.

I smelled his scent, but it was gone. I ran downstairs and ran through the woods to the cabin. I stayed in my human form because I didnt want to go to the cabin nude. God knows how Reedus would react. I sniffed the area and still didnt smell my brother.

The cabin door was cracked open so I ran inside and smelled. There was nobody in here. I was so puzzled and didnt know what to do. I ran back out of the cabin and howled into the air. I asked "Reedus, Brad where are you"? A howl very far away responded. It was Brad. He screamed "help me". I transformed into my wolf and I ran as fast as I possibly could.

I kept howling "where are you"? I followed the sound of his howls and whimpers. I stopped when I seen him and a vampire fighting in the woods. I ran over and jumped onto the vampires back. I scrathed a huge hole in his wings so he couldnt fly away. I grabbed him by the throat and he changed back to his human form. It was Luke.

My wolf went away and I changed into my human form. I asked "what the hell are you doing"? He asked "Shelby, what are you doing here"? I dug my wolf claws into his neck as I said "leave my brother alone". I threw him to the ground and walked over to my brother. He had a huge bite on his neck. I put my claws into his neck and healed the wound.

I helped him up and I asked "where is the rest of the pack"? He said "hunting, they are feeding to power up for the war". I asked "well how did you and Luke find eachother"? Brad said "he swooped down from the sky and ambushed me". I growled at Luke as he laid on the floor helpless. I said "go back to the cabin, now".

Brad transformed into his wolf and made a b-line for the cabin. I walked over to Luke and healed his neck wounds also. I helped him up and I said "dont touch my brother ever again". Luke said "but what about the war tomorrow night"? I said "well dont touch him or else you will have to deal with me".

Luke brought out his wings and asked "could you heal my wings"? I healed his wings and got mine out. We flew back to the coven and I searched for Dustin. I found him in his room. I said "I dont think we should have a war". He said "Reedus made the decision, so we are going to war my dear". I said "I dont want anyone to get hurt". He walked over and kissed my forehead. He said "as long as you stay safe thats all that matters to me".

I hugged him and said "I wish I didnt have to choose a side". Dustin lifted up my chin and said "you do what you think is right". He put his lips on mine and wrapped his arms around my waist. I didnt know if I really wanted to kiss him back, but I did for about 30 seconds. After I took my lips off of his I walked to my room and laid down on my bed.

I linked my mind up with Reedus's and I telepathically said "we need to talk". He said "meet me at the cabin tonight at 8". I said "ok" then I set my alarm clock for 8 tonight.

8 A.M.

My alarm clock went off and it was loud. I slammed my hand down on the button to shut it off.I sat up and walked over to the door. When I opened it Dustin was standing there. He said "dont meet Reedus tonight". I said "I need to". He said "dont trust him". I said "look, I know you just want to protect me, but this is something I need to do". I walked past him and I ran out the front doors. I ran as fast my human legs could run until I came up to the cabin.

Reedus opened the door as I walked onto the porch. He pulled me in and kissed me. I pushed him away and said "no, I need to talk to you". He said "I'm so sorry, I was so stupid to cheat on you, I wish I never did it,I miss you, I just want you back, please come back to me sweetheart. I smiled because I had my hand on his heart while he said this. He was telling the truth. I said "I somethimes miss you too, but I came here to talk".

We sat down and I opened my mouth. I said "you need to call off the war". He said "I will if you come back to me". I said "I cant, I mean I'm still figuring some things out. Dustin and I are fond of eachtoher now, but my wolf still is inlove with your wolf. Its hard because my human is attracted to Dustin but my wolf is attracted to yours". He said "well listen to your wolf". I said "and how do I know that you wont cheat on me again". He stayed silent and didnt say anything.

I got up and said "just call the war off by tomorrow morning". I walked out the front door and ran to my house. I walked through the front door and saw my brother with some off the guys from the pack. Shane was there and he walked over to me. He smiled and said "so your a vamp girl now". I said "no, I will always be a wolf, and I will always stay your luna". Shane asked "well who are you fighting with tomorrow night"? I said "you will see if and when the time comes".

I walked over to Brad and asked "how are you doing, you ok"? He said "yeah, but I miss you. Come stay at your house, not with the vampires at their coven". I said "ok, I will stay here for the night". He smiled and said "good". We all walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.

Shane asked "are you gonna stay mates with Reedus"? I said "I will, for the sake of the pack, they still need their luna, and I am here for you all". Shane smiled and said "glad to have our luna back". I smiled and said "I eill always be your luna, no matter what".

I said goodnight to all the guys and went upstairs to my room. When I got up to my room I walked over to my bed and crawled under the covers. Dustin flew onto my roof and knocked on my window. I got up out of bed and walked over to the window. I said "I'm ok, just sleeping at my house for a change". He said "it's not that, Reedus said that we better be ready for war tomorrow". I let out a breath of sadness because I have to fight tomorrow.

Dustin said "meet me after your done with school tomorrow". I said "ok" then walked back over to my bed. Reedus walked in through the front door screaming "PREPARE FOR WAR BOYS"! They all started to chant and laugh, but I was going over my plan in my head about a million times. Nobody was going to get hurt or die on my watch.

THE NEXT MORNING:

I woke up earlier than my brother and I walked downstairs and outside into the backyard. For about an hour I was practicing 2 things that I would do in the battle tonight. Nobody would see it coming, and nobody was going to get hurt or die.
