The Wolf Inside.

Ch:29

I walked back inside and my brother was already up. He asked "where were you"? I said "in the backyard". He got a questionable look on his face and he asked "why"? I said "you'll see".

I walked over to the fridge and got a bottled water. I asked "want to skip school today"? He smiled and said "I have to, Reedus and the pack are training for the war tonight". I said "dont fight, I dont want you to get hurt". He smiled and said "we wont get hurt if you just come back to the pack". I said "it's not as simple as that".

Brad put his hand on my shoulder and said "please, just fight with us, I dont want to fight you". I said "you dont have to". I went to walk away, but he grabbed my hand. He pulled me back over and asked "which side are you fighting on? None of the wolves know". I said "you will see".

I pulled my hand away and walked outside. I sprinted the whole way to the coven. I walked in and all the vampires were wearing uniforms. They all looked at me and smiled. I asked one of them "where is Dustin"? He said "in the training room". I ran to the training room and looked around for him.

Dustin saw me and walked over to me. He said "nice of you to join us". He wrapped his hand around my waist and walked over us over to the katana I used the other day. He said "take it, you will use it for battle tonight". I said "no need". He insisted "take it". I grabbed it and took it out of the wall. He handed me the holder for it so I put it in the holder. I put it around my back and tightened the strap.

Dustin grabbed my hand and said "follow me, I want to give you something else". He walked us back to his room and he opened the door. He walked me over to the bed and said "try these on". On the bed was an outfit to wear tonight. There was a black tank top, then a tight leather jacket to wear over it. Then there were leather pants to wear. Then he handed me a pair of black combat boots to wear.

I took the clothes and walked into his bathroom. I put on the outfit and when I looked in the mirror I looked like Kate Beckinsale when she played in Underworld. Our clothes were identical. I looked kind of bad ass in them too.

Dustin knocked on the door and said "cmon out let me see". I opened the door and walked out. I asked "how do I look"? He stood up and walked towards me. He smiled and said "you look sexy". I smiled and jokingly said "how charming". He grabbed me and kissed me. Then he leaned his forehead against mine. He whispered "just be careful tonight because Reedus said that it was now a fight to the death".

My heart started to pound and my stomach twisted into knots. I'm now very glad that I thought of my plan and that I already practiced it. Dustin asked "whats wrong"? I said "I'm nervous, thats all". He said "I will protect you, there is nothing to be afraid of".

I looked at the clock and it read 3 p.m. Time sure flys when you dont want it to. Dustin said "I just want you to know...never mind". I said "no, tell me". He tensed up and didnt speak. I said "dont be so tense, you can tell me". He smiled and cupped my cheek in his hand. He kissed me then said "I think I'm inlove with you". Butterflies flooded through my stomach. I smiled and kissed him.

When I disconnected our kiss I said "I might love you too, but I still have a lot of mixed feelings, so give me more time". He said "fine with me". He kissed me again then said "cmon lets go to the training room".

Dustin grabbed my hand and lead me back into the training room. He said "show me how you fight with your sword". We walked out into the backyard and all the vampires were out there. They had mechanical wolves all over the field. I watched as the vampires destroyed the wolves. But I remembered how the wolves fought the vampires the first time I met Reedus.

Dustin lead me to a wolf and said "show me what you got". He pressed a button on the wolf and it started up. It snarled at me then chased after me. I took out my sword and put it right through it's metal face. I felt so upset, but I couldnt let Dustin know. I asked "cant I just practice on those dummies over there"? He said "no, we will be fighting wolves tonight, so you need to know how to fight them now". I said "I am a wolf remember, I know how to fight them".
