The morning dawn slowly came up over the horizon as the camp slowly began to wake itself up. The Blue-Handed, the Yellow Handed, the Green Oni, and the Noble Ronin all woke up in their shared officers tent as the bloody-handed company side tents were all now waking up and getting ready for a day's marching. As Noble was the first to get up and look outside, that's when he suddenly saw it all.
Two Shinobi and a Kuniochi were spread eagle on the ground with blood splattered around them and as Noble looked around, he suddenly ran back into the tent as he then said, "Guys, we gotta find the Bloody Handed! There's Ninja out there!"
Everyone froze for a split second before rushing their armor and gear on as it was the Blue Handed and the Yellow Handed who were first done as they immediately ran straight for the nearest tent as both of them shouted, "The enemy appears to be in the camp! Quickly, get your gear on and move!"
All ten of the yari ashigaru immediately finished putting their gear on as they ran after the two commanders with their jumonji-yari at the ready and as the group ran towards the Bloody-handed's tent as they knew that shinobi and kuniochi around meant they were after their leader.
But as they all began to near the Bloody-handed' tent, suddenly the began to slow down as several more ninja in their black garb were scattered all around them with their blood speckling the green grass and as the group slowly began to make their way through the carnage, stepping over the corpses and the fallen weapons, both the Blue Handed and the Yellow handed soon saw something they had not expected.
I was passed out in what tattered remains that were my under armor clothes as still on both hands were my neko-te while next to me my tanto lay broken and bloody. I was snoring very softly with a few cuts across my face and a few on my slightly exposed body but as the Blue Handed and the Yellow Handed both slowly approached me, they were kinda surprised I was still as fine as I looked.
The Blue Handed poked me with his yari as I woke up finally and as I rubbed my eyes, he then asked me, "Uh... you okay, boss?"
"I could be better..." I muttered. "But it took you long enough to wake up.."
I was honestly exhausted from the pitched battle between myself and the ninja that had nearly got me killed many times but each time I had managed to somehow get out unscathed as I had eventually been able to kill all of them.
And as soon as I had slumped from the fight, I had fallen asleep like a light blown out.
But as I tried to stand up from my spot on the ground, my feet swayed beneath me as all of the ashigaru rushed to catch me and help me and as I began to make my way back towards my tent with their help, I then told them, "We have a long day ahead of us.. make sure you all are prepared for combat as ever."
"Yes, sir." they all said and as I entered my tent, Noble and Joey appeared as I then said to my commanders, "I want the Blue Handed and the Yellow Handed getting the troops ready... if Noble and Joey don't mind, I need some help with my armor for once."
Both Noble and Joey nodded and began to grab my armor as both the Blue handed and the Yellow Handed bolted off to gather the men and get the whole company ready to move out.
As Joey and Noble helped me, I looked at the Neko-te and then my normal gauntlets as I then shrugged as I took them off and put it on my armor's belt as it appeared and as I thought about the ninja, I was certainly curious why they had seemingly gone after solely me.
Questions that would have to wait to be answered after we won the city of Shiramamoto.
The rode to the city was quiet, almost too quiet for my tastes as I tried to both march and stay awake enough to be on the look out for trouble all around. Thankfully enough, both the Winged Ronin and Inuchiyo were next to me helping me in one form or another to keep me awake.
