"Walk with me." Luke grabbed my hand and tugged me closer as he walked by.

"Hi." I smiled up at him.

"Hi, cupcake." He grinned and bent his head to plant a kiss on the top of my head.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I slid my arm around his waist and kept myself close.

"For a walk." He teased as we headed out of the house and across the street to the woods behind my old house. "I've been doing a lot of thinking this year, Sang." He said.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to face anything without you at my side." His tone was serious, which made me study him closely. "And I think I have it all figured out up here." He tapped his temple.

I don't want to go through this life

Without you, by my side

And I-I-I, got it all worked out

In my head, is how it's got to be

I pursed my lips and nodded slightly. "That's good." I said. "I'm glad to hear you have things settled in your head. It's a plan that works for all of us?" I Inquired lightly.

"Of course." He said. "Gosh, Sang... who do you think I am if I forgot about the rest of them when I figured it out?"

I might have been slightly obtuse with that last comment, I thought to myself. "Oh, I'm sure you do." I laughed softly. "I just want to be certain." I explained.

He tapped me on the forehead lightly. "I understand. Sometimes, you have to get out of your head too."

I nodded. "So what's the plan?" I looked around the wooded area we'd gotten to. "Treehouses?"

"Oh that is a good idea." Luke laughed. "Treehouses. Can't you see it? A large wooded area, 9 or 10 houses up in the tree, You with me..." He smiled and stopped walking, turning me to face him before he leaned in, brushing his lips against mine gently. "I love you, Sang."

It'll be you and me

Up in the trees

And the forest will give us the answer

It'll be you and I

Up in the sky

It's a combination for disaster

"I love you too." I said, stretching up to kiss him back fully. "I'm never going to leave you." I said, watching his eyes. It was a conversation we had every few months.

It was really important to Luke that I not be planning on leaving him. I think it has to do with the way his mom left him with Uncle when he was a baby. But I didn't mind. I'd tell him that every day for the rest of our lives until he believed it if I had to.

He smiled, brown eyes flashing as they crinkled up at the corners. "Always good to hear, cupcake." He said, beeping me on the nose.

I reached up and rubbed my nose. "So. What exactly is going on?" I asked, glancing up at him.

"It's not actually treehouses." He said, as his smile got wider and he pulled me close again, motioning with his free hand as he explained the dreams he'd had that he wanted to turn into a reality here in this area.
