Every day, Cadie Martin rode the yellow school bus.
She always sat on the right side of the bus, directly in the center of the ninth seat from the front ot the bus.
She also always had a peanut butter and banana sandwich, 22 gummy bears, and a granola bar for lunch.
At the young age of six, Cadie had perfected the perfect banana to peanut butter ratio, and every day since then, she enjoyed a perfectly made sandwich for lunch.
On the 18 minute bus ride to school, she typically enjoyed reading. Lately, she had been addicted to a writing website called wattpad. There were thousands of stories at her fingertips. Stories of kids much cooler than her, much wittier and much more exciting.
Cadie dreampt of being like the kids in her books. She wanted to someday tell off the Queen B for being a bully, or walk up to the resident bad boy and kiss him on the spot, leaving him gobsmacked. But Cadie didn't have the courage, and even if she did, she knew the difference between fiction and real life.
Cadie would never do anything crazy...
Or would she?
